Ashe's Hair in the New Skin

That edit is SOOOO much better. I really hope they change it because her hair looks so flat and boring ATM.

You probably havent seen mercy’s owl skin and widow’s summer swimsuit skin.

frankly … these are not real reasons.

  • if we have to talk about fidelity of the silhouette, little red is a hood instead of a hair with a brim, and this enormously changes the original shape of Ashe’s head. take as examples some widowmaker skins that don’t have their hair pulled up - the hitboxes are very clear and don’t mess with other heroes thanks to their body positions on the battlefield.
  • the skin “betrays itself” even seeing the icon, which shows the abundant locks on the sides. it would be enough to add extra strands on the sides of the neck (but also recycled from skins like Symmetra tyrande) to make a good example.

No, keep her Hair all the way in. Blizzard just needs to improve its physics, but Overwatch “2” became the perfect excuse to let flawed physics in.

Where do people obtain such strong opinions about video game skins? I could understand not caring enough to pick up the skin because it doesn’t look nice, but “extremely dissapointed”???

yeah fr

if they don’t change the gun at all then it should be an epic

Why?, it´s a Lore skin, the gun seems pretty accurate to me, it´s literally in the first frame of Ashe´s origin story.
Loved the skin. Back in Archives the whole forum complained about not getting lore skins, now you got one that ispretty accuarte and still complains.

no one is complaining about having a lore-based skin in this case, but they are being notified that the detail of the hair may be more faithful to the concept art seen in the book.

as we saw for Hanzo Casual in 2017, graphic fidelity is part of the feedback perceived by the community. this was not done for Ana blackwatch’s beret which everyone hoped to have its “cybernetic horns” which highlighted the contrast with Mercy’s diadem / halo, basically because it was a very convincing design choice in the context of a mission. in this case it is also a not too invasive modification, modeling work speaking. we have certainly had more invasive requests from the community.

no need to talk about archives 2021:) . the graphics quality was high, but everyone (rightly) agreed that it was not exactly a happy choice not to receive additional skin lore-based from the event.

if you read the first few chapters of the book, Ashe’s “protagonist” equipment is the viper, the rifle she uses in the standard skin.

frankly, compared to Mercy dr. ziegler we had a lot more modeling work. only the hair is a particularly criticizable detail in Ashe deadlock (why not call it “calamity”?)
