Like seriously Ashe is becoming a major issue in games in both ranked and unranked, unranked has the most obvious Ashe Smurf’s on this planet. and ranked they play like the warcraft player from South Park. and when u call them out on there smurfing they have ZERO shame in what their doing, and just say “ez” at the end of the game. I’m fairly new too overwatch and I main reaper and Reinhardt but oh my god. Ashe is in like every game of mine with a mercy pocket up they ahh’s and their unstoppable. all u need with Ashe is a dollar store headset and bare minimum of decent aim and all of a sudden ur dominating games. she has a dynamite that makes anyone shooting her run away. and her coach gun is a easy get out of jail card and it makes almost every flanking/dive character borderline useless against her. (besides tracer and anran obviously). idk Ashe seriously needs nerfed just a TAD bit. cause she destroys u at both short medium and long range distance she barely has any counter play
. . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Here’s a few periods, you’re welcome.
I’d read it but my brain can’t handle the lack of any periods…breath buddy.
On topic: I loathe Ashe in QP simply because controller goes hard on the aim assist. Not to mention they gave her the ability to detonate her dynamite with a button push, negating any skill to land ~150 DoT in an AoE. (Which thinking on it, the button press for detonate was more than likely also controller related to help them get the early detonates…)
Ashe? Over Jetpack Cat and Sierra?
Swap while you still can. As someone who has dumped a thousand hours into Reaper, I can confidently say that it does not get better. You will always lose out to characters with more range (which is practically every hero in the game) and the devs have refused to adapt his kit to the modern version of Overwatch.
I don’t know much about Reinhardt’s current state from personal experience, but from what I’ve seen people saying, I think he’s in the same boat.
That is every mid-to-long range character in this game. They cater to those players and those players have deluded themselves into thinking that, because those characters fall into the category of “sniper/marksman,” they are somehow more “aim intensive” even though the have cannon balls for bullets.
If you want to have an easy and “enjoyable” experience on Overwatch, I suggest choosing to main one of them.
I’ll try out 76 and Cassidy and see if my games go any better. Thx for the advice gng
Heres the irony:
Before the 5 heroes were released together, there were MULTIPLE posts calling for nerfs to her daily.
NO changes were ever made to her.
Then, 5 heroes came out, and she quietly slipped by with a very, very, minor nerf in January to her range.
Shes been a top pick for many many seasons now. Everything about her kit is great.
Her and Cassidy benefited outrageously from the Season 9 projectile increases.
She seriously needs some type of rework/nerfs. A pipedream at this point.
Her major perk has been heavily nerfed since now we don’t get any ammo for rewarding us for hitting 2 shots
The problem isn’t Ashe as much as it is how Ashe interacts with a Mercy pocket. Mercy and Ashe can just take a safe high ground spot where you cannot shoot the Mercy and she just damage boosts Ashe, if you try to kill the Ashe she just gets healed, forcing your entire team to swap to dive for those 2 people alone, that’s the real problem. Ashe on her own is fine, she’s good yes, but I wouldn’t say OP, but when she has a Mercy pocket the entire game revolves around her.
I dunno about that. The damage boost nerf brought Mercy down to where she should be sitting, but Ashe hasn’t come down with her. That would seem to imply that Ashe isn’t being propped up by Mercy, but is strong in her own right.
If Ashe is doing too well then simply fully revert her fall-off buff. She honestly didn’t really need it in the first place.
I wasn’t going to say anything, but it’s almost as if Mercy boosts aren’t the boogeyman that some individuals claim it is…
almost like the culprit has always been burst damage hitscan an not the damage boost-
Play whatever character you find fun and get really good at and most times you will be able to deal with whatever. When I was one tricking reaper the only heroes that gave me trouble were hanzo and decent anas. Otherwise I could just press W into the enemy team until masters.
I don’t recall ashe giving me much trouble tbh. Usually just TP’d next to them wraith to avoid coach gun and kill them or listen for their coach gun for when they use it get to high ground then tp to them and kill them. Not sure what rank you are but you will be able to get away with doing that below masters at least.
Had a way easier time winning games on reaper than hitscan lol. Long range characters weren’t much of an issue honestly from what i remember. CC was more of a problem than range tbh.
Leave Ashe aloneee! I dont even main her, but a good Ashe, is just a good Ashe. Great character to the roster (fave is the Faye Valentine skin)
Only bad change I would say was the auto dynamite. But ‘bare minimum of decent aim’ is very reductive haha
i dont play ashe much anymore at all. at one point she was kinda my main, or i ran her with widowmaker. widowmaker and ashe is all i played
then i played and got into sombra… i still play widow but i kicked ashe to the side or just dont play her anymore at all. i actually replaced ashe with sojourn as my 3rd or 4th dps
my last ashe video i made
