Yeah I think I’ll pick valorant over waitingwatch. I was expecting the game to be bad, but seeing all the gameplay footage it looks very promising. It’s got the core of CSGO, which is a great game but frankly lacking fun factor, and added to it what makes overwatch fun, the abilities, the cartoony graphics, individual heroes, fun sound design.
As someone who’s primary game is OW and secondary CSGO, I can’t wait.
I’m starting to guess that people don’t play the Tank or Support role because of the lack of hitscan options, more precisely the single shot hitscan burst damage mechanics.
They find hitscan fun, but most tanks are spam projectiles ranged, beams, one melee, and the hitscans that exists have massive spread (like shot guns).
Yeah, OW is not only about that.
Although many people want it, 132 just showed us how the playerbase can be divided about it. A tank solo trying to take the objective space while 3 DPS flanking or camping for kills.
Valorant just seems like the elimination mode from the arcade, but made longer and more complex.
If a significant enough portion of the hitscan players switch over, we may see a decrease in overall queue times for DPS. That would actually be great for OW.
*or I can just go do something else…like read, write, watch youtube, look at **********, eat a sandwich, drink a drink, play with pets, interact with friends, OR LITERALLY ANYTHING THAT ISNT A GAME
