I never get the “I need healing” spam…makes you wonder why so many supports complain about this, like if you’re receiving this maybe be more aware, the amount of supports I get that don’t heal me unless I ask is just baffling…every time it happens I wonder why I went shield tank instead of hog
Please pay attention and heal, don’t cry about “i’m healing whoever is next to me” and then complain because your tanks don’t push
Disclaimer: The “heal next to me” are usually Mercy players, which makes the entitlement even funnier, but this might just be a console issue where there’s…a lot of Mercy “mains”

usually it’s mostly the genji, he takes some damage and start spamming it and if he’s smart he’ll usually try to come to me and get it and when he’s healed up he throws out a “Thank you”.
but usually he just spams i need healing in the middle of the enemy team and dies without attempting to retreat.

I never even get it from them, at most I get one or two occasionally to let me know where they are, and the times they pause to let me heal…but other than that, I don’t get people spamming me for heals

I consider myself to be a pretty great healer, and so I rarely see this. But when I do, I must admit it is often infuriating because I know the person spamming it is only doing so to be spiteful.
Hitting it once is fine, in fact I appreciate if a Pharah or backline sniper or someone I’m not looking at hits it so I know to turn around or look up. But when a Genji or tank who is very clearly receiving healing is spamming it to be spiteful, it makes me want to NOT heal them.

to be honest it mostly only happens while i’m healing the tank as the dps are off to flank on their own and subsequently die.

I understand it may occasionally happen, and it’s infuriating, but as you yourself said, you don’t normally get this…which is what makes me question those who complain a lot about it

Because the people that usually spam it are the ones that just got oneshot by Widow and expected me to heal them through it.

the issue is, that everyone wants their personal healer the whole game sometimes and you can’t actually heal everyone everywhere at once constantly.
it’s allways a choice and therefore you have to be the field medic and choose who’s worth saving.

That’s the case 9 times out of 10.
I’ve had this Winston dive in all by himself on route 66 every time, completely breaking LoS from their Ana and then proceeded to complain that they should be playing Mercy instead because they can’t aim. The Ana proceeded to position herself very poorly to maintain LoS, and was constantly exposed to the enemy’s Widow. Which ultimately lost us the game.

I get a lot of “I need healing” from people who died, and to be fair, sometimes it is my fault.
Sometimes I mess up and I don’t get to them in time and they spam “I need healing”. I can usually tell when I’m underperforming, and it makes me feel bad.
But I do get a lot of I need healing spam when they die and I couldn’t have done anything or they’re way past enemy lands. That’s annoying, but easy to understand

Oh that’s a fair one to be mad about, you’re right
i generally ask for healing when i know im about to engage someone who can one tap me if i go in at my current hp
At least you’re willing to accept when you mess up…some supports just really think they’re always popping off, even while saying silly things
I mess up a lot too, on tank and support, I just hate how entitled some supports can be while not even being able to heal unless they’re asked for it

In that scenario both were in the wrong imo
Yes, the Winston was feeding and being toxic…but the Ana preferred to also feed bc of bad positioning rather than switch to Mercy…
I would have just stayed positioned well at least and heal everyone else up, rather than help the winston throw like that
but that depends what hero you’re playing and what support i’m playing.
zenyatta is pretty known to help in those situations but an ana won’t follow you to flank if you’re a mccree going on a journey.
I definitely understand the people who want a personal healer…but if i’m standing their on Rein and asking for heals and the supports stayed glued to their dva friend or dpsing, that’s a little frustrating for the tank too
not that I spam for heals…it never helps anyways, but the supports who only remember to heal when I ask really drive me crazy
well some do, some don’t and sometimes they look at players playing really recklessly or passively and take mental notes of people who’s usually in need of it or deserving of the attention.
you’re kind of a hot chick and everyone is dying for attention and some might be too shy for it too.
it’s weird.
This also, when youre being dove by an enemy winston, Doomfist, genji, reaper, ect.
In my experience, I get “I need healing” spam a lot from flankers and feeders. Like, a Hammond spamming I need healing across the map from me when he has 10 health, dies, and then spams it even more. Roadhog walks into the middle of an enemy team with a junkrat and Reaper and gets instantly melted and spams I need healing even when I was healing him.
I’m not saying I’m a perfect healer, but I’m doing the best that I can lol. Death is only so preventable no matter which healer you’re playing.

That is some pompass sounding self righteous doo-doo. Are you really saying you are so great nobody asks for heals - and any support who claims this just needs to be more awesome like you? lol
Sure, I NEVER hear it when I am alive… roflmao. I get spammed every time I die and am coming out of spawn. Or when a DPS is across the map, deep in enemy territory pushing way to far, and desperate for me to suicide across the map to be their own personal heal dispenser.
Always - always - get spammed “I need healing” as soon as I die. “I’m down, I’m coming out of spawn” doesn’t make a difference.
Anyone who has played OW as support has been spammed by players asking for healing. Many times while we are pocketing the person asking for heals.
