As a 6v6 OQ enjoyer, i dont like the hog changes

Im sad to see hogdrogen exposure go. I dont like the new overhealth perk at all, and i think roadhog finnally had a good niche as a off tank with hogdrogen exposure and pent up.
Being able to heal your team and keep your main tank up in 6v6 OQ felt really good. Even had good synergy with rein being able to pull enemies into his range and keep him up with your heals.
But i guess actually healthy hog wasnt meant to be. Where back to unkillable selfish hog.
Another question i have now is: can he oneshot?
With pigpen you needed to earn his oneshot, but now its gone. Can he still oneshot?
Or are we back to unkillable does nothing hog?

A couple of days ago i remember a colloseo match i had. Me as hog with a rein vs hazard.
Hazard v rein is just so in the hazards favor its not even close. There is never a situation where hazard has to be in rein range to win. So i changed that. Pulling hazard into rein and pigpen keeping him there.
Our combined damage was enough that when he pushed block, rein pushed pin and he was dead.
That synergy is what makes overwatch as a tank fun. Rip good hog.

No, he cannot. He does less damage than prior to his rework.

I totally agree with you, by the way. My Sistah Spice used him whenever we had horrible supports to become the support while still being able to occasionally take and maintain space. It wasn’t the greatest strategy ever, but it worked like half the time in those desperate and seemingly unwinnable games.

There was that time before his rework where he also couldnt oneshot. All he did was being a fat wall. If we are back to that we are cooked.

I genuinely considered learning how to play hog better because playing off tank hog was so much fun…
Guess i wont be doing that.

let’s keep healing to the supports. i never liked hog being able to heal his team. i know it wasn’t much but it was silly.

btw, unless there has been some damage numbers changed, his alt fire can 1 shot people if you get the distance perfect. no hook required!

It was great. Hog rein was genuinely so good. The more aggressive both played the more rewarding the experience. Pent up refilling breather, breather healing rein. Pulling the enemy tank into rein range. It just worked. That cant work now. In fact i dont see this hog working with any tank. I dont see any synergy at all.

Not consistent enough. Ow1 hog was too consistent and this hog is not consistent enough. Pigpen was that healthy step to a consistent one shot that doesnt break him. Pigpen was genuinely really good. Especially in 6v6 where he was actually killable.
This rework is actually worse then ow1 hog.
