I am plat Widow and my aim is tied with M but my adada and game sense is plat, I dont see a way a equal widow would win against a Hammond. He basically has 700 HP at the time he dives you. and if he get pillar diver or h/e is written he basically kill you right away. A good Wiston or Dva too. I dont see Kabaji or the likes of Dafran always winning. and they are pretty good. And I was a QQ about Hanzo when i was playing Tracer one-trick until i leanr overwatch is mean to switch chars. I play almost all rooster. Not more QQ about Hanzo i do play him too and the worst thing about this Topic is that those characters are free to play since you pay for your license/copy.
When i Started to play Sniper i just wish to fight more against someone who showed to be better than me, instead of QQ. I saw how hard it is to control them , you need to be inhuman to get those GM HS and have up your mechanics and muscle memory.
Yeah, but there’s ways to avoid that. It’s not like it’s easy to do anyway. Nobody is 100% consistent, and even someone like Dafran gets annoyed at ad strafing.

The problem is fast rate of fire + grapple. One needs to go, to facilitate counterplay from heroes other than widow. The fire rate makes her just too superior to every other ranged hero, and the grapple negates short range heroes getting up on her, if they can even get up that high to begin with. Quite a few (almost all) heroes just get shat on by widow, with virtually no option to counter.
Hanzo has a better kit outside of his weapon, but the bow is just so markedly inferior to widow’s rifle, in fact its inferior to Ashe’s rifle. At higher skill levels, only Widow can deliver reliable one-shots.

I agree. I want 2-2-2 lock to happen but unless they do some re-balancing we are going to be right back to double sniper.
Like I get why Widow is a thing, but her and Hanzo are really overtuned and frankly the only thing that stopped the double sniper meta was GOATS.

In Masters and GM, especially GM or if you have a smurf widow in masters, you literally have to always keep track of her. Her cooldowns are low enough that they can flank and get away with it. Winston can sort of deal with her if he has a genji helping but then the rest of your team gets rolled because they are fighting down a main tank.
Widow has too much mobility and with the amount of high ground on most maps she can just bait out a jump, grapple away, or drop down into her team.
Widow and Hanzo being the two best DPS hero’s are partly why GOATs and tank heavy comps became so popular in the first place. Last summer was basically who had the better snipers won and it wasn’t a very fun experience

I only play quickplay and my elo is basically between 3500-4500 in that mode if that make any sense (i mean thats the kind of players i always play with) and let me tell you, Widowmaker (and hanzo) is a complete nightmare because most people playing her know how to aim in my games and very few people play tank in quickplay…
And both widowmaker and hanzo are in like 90% of the matches (in both team also…)
And people wonder why the game isn’t fun and we want to nerf snipers…

Do you know how silly you sound saying this? Literally a 1.1k SR difference between you and OP, your games are nothing alike.
There’s a reason double sniper was the meta before GOATS. Why play Soldier, McCree when you can just go Hanzo/Widow and one shot everything minus tanks? GOATS is a result of tanks being the only things that can survive the insane burst damage of double sniper.
