Arkfox Latency Issue

This test was conducted using IP 37.244.40.1 and not the server from the in_game netgraph (is that what u need ?)

Cycled between 40ms to 70ms but felt much worse and did not kick me. I’ve played through this issue on 100-150ms and while not ideal was not as spiky as these matches have been.

Caught the issue having from the previous Winmtr. It was again playable but you can visibly see the stutter from the lag chokes like playing on an under powered vid card.

Hey Arkfox,

Each one of your tests has a massive latency spike starting on the first or second hop, which is your router or the connection between router and your internet provider. This latency spike early on in the connection is going to affect the entire path all the way to the server, so unless that latency spike is cleared up you will still see issues.

Your issue appears to be different than what is mainly reported in this thread (packet loss and latency spikes on the backbone closer to the server). If you haven’t already I would recommend showing this to iinet so they can get a technician to check it out.

Thanks for the response Jambrix. I tried another online game after leaving OW for the night and noticed something flaky with my connection in BFV. Looking back at past winmtr results it does look different and will contact my ISP should the ping remain low but have latency issue in OW.

Played OW later after post last night, earlier today and a few games just now and i’m sub 50 again with no rubber banding. Sorry for clogging the thread with the coincidence. Will report any further actual OW issues if I get any more after testing my connection prior to.
