Are you worried about upcoming heroes, to be more specific Supports being this type of anime/waifu bait that Kiriko is? Obviously she is very popular and has a big audience for their skins and cosmetics and all the skins she is getting proves this. With the game now being F2P are you worried about upcoming heroes being this type of characters or you don’t mind it?

Not really, we already have a roster full of waifus. On the contrary, I find people are overly harsh on Kiriko because she’s asian.

Yeah i think that we can say goodbye to something unique and different looking like Moira/Ana for example and have to accept that this will be their focus. Especially for Females/Supports.

I dunno man, waifus and anime are really popular and Blizzard could probably do with some more cash and attention being given to this franchise so I don’t know if I’m afraid so much as thinking it’s not that scary. And waifus can come in a wide variety.
But I’m a weeb so take what I say here as biased, full disclosure.

We’ve been deprived of a variety of supports for a long time. So either way I’ll prob still play them grudgingly like I do Kiriko sometimes because different gameplay is a breath of fresh air.

Yes, sadly, majority sees her as anime waifu.
truthfully only reason i like her is because of the short… the screaming child had me rolling tbh
I like girls who are cute so I don’t mind at all. It’s preferable to having ugly looking heroes for the sake of diversity or having something “different.”

Yes, a lot actually… I want to see serious characters and unconventionally beautiful ones like Moira. Covered in high-tech scifi armor, suit wear that resemble the OG overwatch aesthetic
Kiriko is so bland, her story sucks, she has no character and she looks like she’s wearing a bathrobe and you can clearly see she was made to please the “UwU cute anime kawaii” band

Sadly, those of us who prefer cool over cute have lost this battle, and maybe even the war. I’ll hold off on committing honourable sudoku until the new support’s actually unveiled but I’m not hopeful.

I’d take the ugliest looking hero in the world of Overwatch if it meant their gameplay, voice actor/actress was goated, and lore as deep as an ocean in a heartbeat.
Who cares about looks, all we see is our hands and guns and shields and stuff when we play anyways.
I actually like the idea of an ugly ducking hero or ‘it’s what’s in the inside that counts’ I’d be drawn to them.
