Just out of interest, I’d like to know how many people on the forum are, like me, not playing Overwatch due to the current state of the game or are thinking about stopping.

Let’s take a census.

This update made our group only disgusted, it has way too many flaws.

But there is no reason to quit, i will just probably take a break :).

me, i’m not on strike or anything like that, i just don’t find it fun anymore,is it because of changes they made, perhaps, i’m not sure, i play one match per week maybe…playing quake champions and other games

I’m trying but my duo partner keeps nagging me.

This game is too unfun. My favorite hero is underpowered, the balance is a joke, the meta is unfun to fight.

I’m not playing a lot until Reaper gets a buff or Brig gets another nerf

I still play, but usually after like five matches, a smurf on the enemy team ruins the game for me.

So then i call it quits for the night, and sometimes for like a week or so. But i always come back. The long breaks are becoming more frequent… I just wish this game didn’t suck the life out of me. I miss when it was just actually fun. Idk why, but I can pick up Tf2 and have an excellent time every time. This game, not so much.

I was avoiding ranked in particular since season 8 because (as a flex player) I was sick of playing Mercy. But after doing my placements and finding it not too difficult to get away with locking in Zen, I think I can start playing comp regularly again. I can even get away with playing Ana when I know I should play Mercy, at least at my current rank. All the FFA and Mystery Heroes I had been playing in the meantime really sharpened my mechanics.

If Hero 28 isn’t some kind of genius masterpiece of game design, I am uninstalling this game.

Symmetra was my hero, and this rework not only deleted her old playstyle, but also swapped it out for something that is just failing on literally every single aspect.

Im exclusively a QP guy so the meta state doesn’t really effect me. If I HAD to play the same hero every day Im sure I’d burn out. I’m enjoying the game overall still. I used to love Sym so Im excited to try the changes although the forum posts have not been encouraging lol

I’m definitely not stopping… but taking a month long break? Yeah that is probably coming up really soon.

Did the same thing when baguette was released.

The new endorsements system is turning QP into an odd place. I’m gonna let all the hype die down and then come back probably around summer games event.

High ranked gameplay is basically dead. Every GM player I’ve spoken to was basically only playing to avoid decay (if at all), or they’d avoided placements entirely. All of my friends have stopped playing for the most part too.

High ranking streamers are all upset or quitting, xqc is very passionate about how unfun of a slog this season has been compared to the rest, etc.

Game just aint fun in its current state. I’ve gone back to tf2, I have more fun when I lose that game than I do when I win in OW. I’m not on strike, I’d come back to this game in a heart beat if it became competitively fun or interesting again, but as it stands I’m not playing and I have no intention to return. Blizzard drove their own game into the ground.

im just going to play the characters im bad at in comp until they remove the private profile option.

it is not okay that you decide to only play widow when you cant play her to your comp level

I’m still playing, but I’m playing significantly less until the meta shifts. I’m not interested in burning time into it even though it favors one of my favorite tanks-- I just want my placements and a few games with friends here and there. I don’t feel motivated to improve myself.

people did it before private profiles, too. it’s not going to make a difference-- all you’re doing is intentionally setting your team up for a disadvantage. You are costing five other players a winrate or SR.

don’t speak out against something but do that same very thing.
