We’re getting upset because that’s the only way to have any sort of chance to effect change. Blizzard constantly needs their playerbase to hold their hands to not screw up every other aspect of their games, it seems.
To be fair, it’s their fault for this being a thing. They attacked other posters on here for wanting loot boxes over BPs and wanting a one time $60 purchase over drip fed content.
When you enable things like F2P this is the rabbit hole you go down. I have no pity for those shills.

It’s been proven time and time again that if you expect the worst from modern blizzard, they will somehow manage to limbo right under that expectation.

Some people are indeed losing their minds that they might have to play OW2 for 2-3 hours before they get to play the newest hero
We have enough information.
Or you unlock it at the start of the BP, which is annoying and unnecessary, or you need to grind. Which is worse.
Or hey, you could buy it!
And rightly so. In a competitive shooter where changing heroes is essential, it’s just pay2win if a team may not be able to choose a hero because of this

By the time competitive is unlocked for the new hero it’s probably pretty likely everyone has them unlocked if they want to play them
Yes we do, that is LITERALLY how we found out about this. That is not in doubt.
I will have Fox girl the moment she drops because I have payed, and a bunch of others will have to grind for her, because they have not.
I wouldn’t be pushing that around, since the leakers was wrong about other things in the SAME leak about the same topic.
That 2-3 hours you are saying, that is NOT a thing you can rely on.

Because it shouldn’t take any time at all. The battle pass should be strictly cosmetic. I’m personally not that upset because like you said we don’t know and maybe it’s less bad than people say but regardless.

Because anyone with half a brain can look back on the gaming industry over the last 10 years and see the pattern and direction each new game, especially free to play, takes. Track record shows you should expect the worst because that’s probably not far from reality. Blizzard has done more to prove they are going to be extremely anti-consumer and egregious than not. Why would you side with something you have less proof on?

im sorry, i want everyone to be asking questions and keep asking questions until we get answers because i dont want a game where these people followed EA/dice and made it so you have to pay them money, every two months, in order to compete or else youre at a disadvantage.
and i also dont want this game to turn into a cash scam such as diablo immortal, but thats going to come about whenever they make overwatch immortal.
oh i didnt realize you had an inside man at blizzard or you work for blizzard and you know anything and everything about this “new” game ow2 and how you unlock stuff. so does it only take 10 hours to unlock the whole BP? is it only $1/hour to unlock the enitre battlepass?
Just speaking hypothetically since a “leaker” claimed that players could unlock new heroes for free within a couple hours
