Twice now I opened my battlenet launcher and the Overwatch league twitch stream was embedded and auto-playing despite me never turning it on or ever going to the Overwatch league tab
Normally I wouldn’t care, but not all of us are on unlimited data internet. At least put the streams on the lowest quality while its minimized in the background if we’re going to be used as viewbots instead of it keeping it on “Auto”

This should be illegal. You can get extra fees because of such behaviour(and they’re not the only ones doing that kind of things) while you never hit play or never were willing to watch a stream. It should be paused by default, promoting it, putting it right on your face like “hey there’s this stream we really really really really want you to watch please watch” fine. But auto playing these is a big no, especially when it’s to lie to themselves on numbers.
Besides you may as well just have an okay internet connection, play and be like “man what’s going on? Why am I lagging so bad in Overwatch today? Why’s my ping that high?” and turns out it’s this going on in the background…
Well now with lootboxes getting supposedly banned I guess cheeky tricks like these are the only ways left to get a slow and low but consistent money flow.
It’s unfair for the people who doesn’t have an unlimited connexion to internet. Anyway, having the OWL twitch open doesn’t mean you’re actually watching it. My friend has two screens and he is ALWAYS with the OWL on in the side screen, with the sound muted and he doesn’t even watch it. He just wants the tokens.

Thankfully yes. Otherwise I would have to listen to their sermons on cd. Also, can’t go there as they are a 22 hour drive away from me.
