Dear gamers,
It might just be me, but I believe I speak for many tank players when I say that having a Moira player on your team can be quite frustrating.
I’m not specifically criticizing the hero herself; I believe the recent changes are fine. Rather, it’s the way Moira is sometimes played that poses difficulties for me. Particularly when encountering a Moira player who consistently positions themselves in the enemy backline during critical moments of the game. While this strategy occasionally succeeds, there are also instances where it fails miserably. Fortunately, there are skilled Moira players who understand the importance of teamwork. However, it’s disheartening to observe Moira players prioritizing DPS stats over supporting their team.
Overwatch used to be a game where teamwork was paramount, but it seems that this ethos is diminishing in many matches. Additionally, with one less tank, the game doesn’t feel quite the same as it once did.
Blizzard, please remember that fostering positive social interactions is crucial for the game and its players, but this can only happen in a balanced environment.
On a separate note, where did the “looking for group” button go? I always used it…
Sincerely
Another gamer.

I mean, we can talk about them but unless Moira players that specifically join your games see what you want to say it’s not gonna do much.
I guess ranking up would fix Moira players in ranked, but ranking up in ranked is another potential issue…
Dunno, I’m probably a team-focused Moira, but someone will tell me I’m playing her wrong. We can complain about players until the end of time.
Not really. The high level Moira players successfully play her as a back line assassin regularly. It’s how they got to high level. Team focused Moira players struggle to rank up.
Moira is supporting her team through damage… that is her utility to help secure kills. And a flank support is a part of her playstyle. Some people don’t get that. Same way supports like mercy can right click to “Damage boost” her primary fire is basically a damage boost (same utility). And her being able to soak some cds and cleanse herself makes her to want to risk getting naded and stuff to get rid of those cds.
Moira is the talon tank; talon heroes are designed to be more aggressive playstyles it seems.
but clearly the higher ranked Moira players don’t just turn off brain and hold right click…
Correct. There’s a method to their madness. They play like vultures. They circle the backline for a sign of weakness and focus it down, always keeping Fade in their back pocket.
Honestly, it’s the right strategy sometimes because you have that kind of team where you just smash together. Otherwise, it’s often a fair strat when your team fight is already lost most likely and you need to recharge and help any remaining push (just in case) and build ult-charge. Often what you see in while you’re in spawn is because you’re in spawn. A Moira may behaving that way only because the team fight is lost anyway.
You want better Moiras or teammates in general? Get to a higher rank.
Maker preserve us, why do you sound like you’re trying to write a letter to the godsdamned Prime Minister?
Talk normally, or don’t talk at all. This is a fourum, not a bloody court room.

That’s not what I see from high level players. They regularly do some damage in the backline, sure, but they almost never play full assassin, and they quickly go back and play with their team and heal.
Moira is not played as a healer anymore due to the DPS passive.
But healing itself outside of the high healers, isn’t worth.
So if you’re looking for allies to support you, it’s not gonna work.
