Are these heroes healthy to the game

THIS IS NOT A NERF THREAD OR A COMPLAINING THREAD
This thread is discuss with every single open minded person if they think the heroes i listed (or the ones we can talk about in comments) are healthy for the game or not. To define by what i mean healthy for the game.
Healthy as in its fun to play with, against or as x hero.
these heroes are heroes I personally want to know what the forums think of and some I saw from other people in the forums.
Are these heroes listed below healthy or unhealthy in your opinion? please check my definition for healthy in the game
Heroes:

  1. doomfist

  2. widowmaker

  3. sombra

  4. brig

  5. genji

  6. hammond

  7. reinhardt

  8. pharah.

  9. Mei (some wanted me to put her)

first 4 heroes are my choice of unhealthy heroes to my opinion to play against or as listed from most to least IN MY OPINION. the second 4 are for the forums because i saw people complain about how op genji is (i mean that baffles me the hero rn is weak but ok), how much cc they have (hammond), people apparently think rein is op ideky, and how not fun it is to play as pharah.

AGAIN I REPEAT NOT A COMPLAIN THREAD NOT A I HATE THREAD NOT A PLS BLIZZ NERF THREAD OR NOT A REVERT MERCY THREAD
this is a discussiong thread please have friendly discussions here

They’re all good. Idk why half the heroes you have up there are bad. Doom fist, really? He’s easy to counter and hard to master. Brig can’t deal with Pharah or Junkrat and she’s easy to trap with Mei. Sombra is an off Dps support. Have situational awareness and she won’t bother you. Her ult is great because her dmg impact can be so low. Rein literally needs a team to stay with him to be effective

I think you know exactly what he means.

As for the list, personally, the CC heavy heroes like Doomfist, Brig, Hammond and Mei are horrible to play against in the current CC heavy environment. Just once I’d like to play a match where I actually get to move my character for at least the majority of the match.

Nope. She’s utterly destructive and completely compromises the integrity of balance with her inherently flawed design.

i dislike doomfist because he can toss around like a thoudsand ton tanks and delete them if he so pleases. brig she is just an oof because she is either really strong when you play her or extremely weak and cna make a whole team switch of dive if they were stomping her team just because she exists =/

Noticing the overuse of the word ‘healthy’ these days. It used to be ‘unfun’.

healthy does not mean unfun it means fun to play with against or as that hero. fun could be described on a general basis. healthy is more specific atleast imo

oh i forgot

No, neutral, no, no, neutral, yes, yes, yes.

Maybe. Depending on current state of balance.

No

Not sure, tbh. If we get CC cleanse in the game, then definitely yes.

Theres no such thing as “fun to play against”. Its subjective.

neutral as in ehh or maybe?

As in neither

I sort of get what you mean. Doomfist, Widow, Sombra and Brig all vastly change how you have to play the game. You stop playing Overwatch and you start playing DoomWatch, WidowWatch, SombraWatch or BrigWatch.

Brig is really less of an issue now, and is more just annoying and her armour just makes certain characters kinda useless.

The others actually vastly change how you play if the player on them is competant, and each of them have scope to ruin the fun of the game completely.

The only one I don’t really have a problem with is Widow as she’s pretty much a straight skill matchup and is relatively counterable.

Doomtits is just wrong for the game. He feels awful to play as, with or against if you’re not a Doom main or at a high enough level to where the average skill level is high enough to counter him outright.

Sombra is possibly one of the worst offenders on ladder play as she has such an advantage with internet latency assuring her hack will always come off in almost any circumstance you don’t see her coming, and her EMP farming is so straightforward with basically zero counterplay to it. The only solace being that at most ranks, teams aren’t co-ordinated enough to take advantage of it properly.

The thing is that none of them are beyond saving. Sombra is probably the most contentious given that she is one of those characters that exists on the edge of uselessness at the best of times, but is absurdly annoying to play against. Doomfist should have always been a mobile tank instead of a oneshot kill DPS. Brig just needs a total redesign. Widow… well, she is who she is. Realistically she’s balanced at any rank where a player belongs and thrives on enemy mistakes. It’s only smurfs and ultra high levels that can really present a clear and present danger with her.

The last 4 you listed however, I don’t have a problem with (other than Genji hitboxes. But that’s another Shimada story…)

doom, widow sombra and brig are annoying. sure

im ok with widow/sombra for the most part even tho i hate sombras CC and getting 1 shot can feel realy bad.

doomfist is a melee character in an fps, but instead of making him a legit melee (one with a primary weapon that is melee) they made him an fps character with a bunch of melee abilitiys. this was just a weird design choice

he was only ‘op’ for a short time, but even before then it was just bad design.

genji is a non issue to me, pharah is only annoying in that she demands a hitscan anytime shes played. hammond is annoying sometimes but not nearly enough too ruin the health of the game.

rein is a whole new level of bad though.

in an fps game, which OW started as. adding in SHIELDS to block dmg was one of the worst choices they could of made. most heroes deal ranged dmg, most heroes are thus made weaker when shields are involved.

this is why when dive was meta, most heroes were usable in comp. the winston shield was only like 600 health. way easier to focus down and break compared to a 2000 health shield.

im not saying rein is OP, im saying having alot of shields is a bad idea. it enforces bad play.

most pro’s dont just sit there holding a rein shield up like they have nothing better to do. they use it as it was designed, to move you from 1 place to another safely.

pro’s dont even rely on a rein shield to block dmg from things like a dva bomb.

perma shields = bad

as in fun to play against as you feel like you can actually play the game without getting tilted seeing them. I tilted like flipping crazy when i am just getting focused by someone playing doomfist to just realize after that they won game because someone who had 0 time on doomfist carried them by making me a ping pong ball XD. edit me as a reinhardt

Still prefer stuns over having to be respawning half the match because the enemy was like “Hey, we could all jump on that one guy”
