Hello, I can’t seem to find the answer. Do we know if items in the Battle Pass are exclusive and gone from being obtained forever once the pass is expired? Or will the items come to the store later for individual purchase. I don’t like the idea of unobtainable item fomo.
Asking cuz I am new to OW2 and played a ton in OW1.
Nothing is ever gone for good in this game. If pink Mercy returned, any cosmetic can return. They never really specified if BP items would disappear for ever, but I highly doubt it. Given how much they’re already recycling content with lazy re-colours in the current BP and shop, I’d say we might see old BP items return before the end of the year.
As of right now, they are exclusive to their respective battle pass. Obviously not counting the mythic skins which is what I call precedent.
Blizzard has shown that they are not committed to exclusive items multiple times.
Currently, yes, but there is a chance that some skins will come back in the future, but like any other special skin it could range from “next week” to “never”.
So I would say “yes” until I see them putting BP skins in the shop (that then cost a lot more).
Tough to say. With mythics basically always being available, it’d be odd if they don’t just eventually sell old bp legendary skins/other items at some point. As others noted, pink mercy returning means everything in this game has no real meaning or value anyway.
Unfortunately, you don’t make money by having no exclusive anything, Bli$$ard and Micro$oft are all about money. Time will tell I guess.
Certain items can be exclusive once the BP is gone but is subject to change.
For example:
Until a season ago, any mythic was exclusive to that season
This was case for 9 seasons but on 10th season they added the ability for us to buy any previous mythic too if we want.
Again, subject to change.
Pink mercy was an Old sought after skin but wasnt available for a long long time until this very week.
Nothing remains exclusive forever in this game.
However when it happens, it will most likely be another fomo that you may miss.
They are trying everything to make sure people check the shop every day.
