Case in point:

Big brain Moira plays all day

Context
I’m the Moira
The McCree baits out my fade
I go to that mini health pack and throw an orb in anticipation of his Flashbang + FTH
I tank it like a boss then proceed to kill him

Im a Moira main and I detest your comment :stuck_out_tongue:

Having said that, I think Moira has slowly become a powerhouse because if played well, can 1v1 anyone or escape any 1v1 encounter. I do most plays just check out my win percentage with her.

I love that there is a clear difference of good and bad Moiras though. Its especaily GORGEOUS to duel a Moira as a Moira because 9/10 they throw the damaging orb at me and im just stood there getting healed by my healing orb because I ran the opposite way, back pedalled and quite literally, sucked them to death as a goodbye present.

Despite FlashFan not being the most inspiring combo, the McCree still outplayed the Moira by making her burn her escape ability by baiting with a melee, then landing the flash and FTH. Yet McCree still lost the engagement, because all Moira had to do was to hit all her abilities and win through sustain and movement spam :man_shrugging:

Seriously?

  1. Knowing the map well enough to know that there was an area you could bounce an orb like that.
  2. Realizing you were close enough to it to get there before McCree killed you.
  3. Having enough game sense to anticipate a flashfan.
  4. Knowing you could tank the flashfan with an orb + a small health kit.
  5. Bating him into taking the bait in the first place.

The only thing here that’s strange is your inability to recognize a good play when you see one. Or rather your outright refusal.

Mccree outplayed himself because with all that diamond portrait experience, he still apparently cannot fan the hammer straight.

Any character has the ability to circle around people and most of them are far more deadlier than a moira. Moira would be the least of his problems when chars like tracer exist.

Yep. Good Moira players don’t get enough credit, tbh. It’s very evident if they’re bad or not when fighting them.

I eat bad Moiras for breakfast … but the good ones use heal orbs. :sweat_smile:

The first FTH was fine, it just didn’t kill through the healing.

We don’t really know what the intentions of either players were. Looking at it first, it looks like the Moira genuinly got baited by the melee and burned Fade. However the positioning afterwards on the healthpack seing they had taken no damage previously from what I could tell made it so they could tank a FTH with the small HP pack and healing orb - was it intentioanl, who knows? :man_shrugging:

Characters like Moira were made to make it harder to play heroes like Tracer.

Just read the edited post. You should never have fallen for the bait in the first place IMHO, what you did afterwards was a nice play but the problem that I see is that despite making such a huge mistake, the kit allows you to still get on top.
Heroes like McCree don’t have the luxury of having multipile “bail me out” abilities. You either land your shots or you don’t with the exception of Flash which he did land by baiting you.

Yeah, the context really helped clarify that.

“Big brain Moira plays” is just generally something the anti-Moira crowd spews out.

Sure, but let’s be honest realizing a bounce between what’s essentially two collums is not exactly a 900IQ brain.

I mean, there’s sarcasm and mockery, and then there’s that play which was obviously very impressive for the strategy involved.

People on these forums don’t give mind games and thinking ahead anywhere near enough credit. They’re too focused on mechanical aim and reaction time.
