Are kontrol freeks neccesary?

Do they improve your aim? Because the small analog sticks isn’t cutting it for me

I’ve had mine for several months and I still can’t get use to them.

I used them for COD back in the day and let me say, they helped me so much more then I thought they would. I didn’t use two like normal people do. I used 1 and just for the right analog stick. I don’t get the point of having it for the movement besides it not feeling lobsided. I also had a custom controller that used back triggers to replace the (A, B, Y, X) buttons. So I didn’t have to take my thumb off the analog stick and it wouldn’t interfere with aiming.

All in all, give it some time with the KF and you’ll notice a big difference. It gives you a much better aiming distance/movement.

They helped me a lot, at least until I switched to a scuf controller

It’s more of a preference thing. They’re only like 15 to 20 bucks. I have a bunch but they don’t feel good. Thumbsticks are larger and higher. Get a pair and try them out. Or get an Elite Controller if you’re on Xbox. It comes with 3 differently sized sticks, all larger than the default. Playstation doesn’t have an equivalent controller, so you’ll have to settle for a Scuf. I should also say that Microsoft will be releasing the Elite Controller 2.0 later this year.

When I played on console I used the longest one only on the aiming joystick.

If you play on a high sens (which you should in console OW, lest you be destroyed by Genjis and Tracers), they are very helpful. Gave me a bit more control that was noticeable playing heroes like Widow and Sombra.
