PC player comes into match chat on console just to say how trash OW on console is.
So a player unmuted his mic and told him, “at least console players dont gotta spend thousands of dollars for PC upgrades just to play one game.”
I couldnt help but laugh because its kinda true.
Well the issue is that Overwatch on Console feels extremely slow for PC Players.
And the PC Master Race People are everywhere sadly.
As a person who plays both. They are the same.
The only difference is console lacks match chat which is a huge blessing.
You don’t have to spend that much for a good pc

Most of us PC players haven’t spent thousands of dollars on our PCs, I have had the same PC for four years… Check your facts because it seems like you are attempting to create a stereotype or are giving into a possible stereotype you heard about on your console game.
If you’re buying a PC just for Overwatch, a console is a much better option
I would point out that Overwatch can effectively run on PCs that are more inexpensive than the PS4 or Xbox One, even at their current price points.

Some people with ps3 or xbox 360 had to spend another £500 just to buy the latest games and be able to play them when PS4 and Xbox ONE were released. PC players: buy a powerful laptop or build a strong gaming computer once with optional upgrades. PS6 and Xbox TWO games available to them right away by ONLY buying the game.
PC players consist of man children. Not all, of course, most of them are helpful but you have the few bad eggs that ruin it for the rest of us.
And I would have replied “I don’t spend thousands of $'s in upgrades to play games. I spend ~$800 every 2 years for games AND all other things you can do on a PC.”

That said, the person that came into chat and said that about consoles is just a troll. Most PC people aren’t like that.
They either meant team voice chat (and confused team with “match”) or they were in a deathmatch, which actually has a match voice chat.
They were talking about a player that comes from PC but was temporarily playing on console.

my desktop is 10 years old and it runs overwatch among way more demanding games at consistent fps and I got it for 400 then a new graphics card for 600

I play both PC and PS4 and I can tell you Ps4 is trash comparatively. Also my PC runs well and I get 120 FPS and I only ended up spending like 350 bucks for my PC. Just don’t buy new and it’s not that expensive.

That said,
I have to say that PC gamers do not just play “one” game.
I am fairly sure that many games are played by PC gamers and in my case, i play 2 games simultaneously on my dual monitor set up. OW would be on one monitor and another game be on the other in windowed mode.
On top of that, i could be downloading stuff as well as watching videos on the non-OW monitor with 20+ tabs open in my MS Edge browser.
All the while maintaining a steady 120 fps on 1440p with most of the settings in OW maxed out.
Not trying to be obnoxious here and i do empathise with you and i agree, if a person is spending thousands of dollars just to play one game, then yes. Probably foolhardy. However, as a general rule of thumb, PC users really do more than just play a game on our chose platform. =)
