Can we have access to archive missions in custom games.
The pve is my favourite way to enjoy this game with No stress.
I would love to be able to log in and just do this
Only during the event, sure why not.
So why would it be bad to allow access to them now then?
Would defeat the purpose of having the events.
Because you can always access the gamemodes.
Sure skins are something else, though it would make the event just… less special.
It wouldn’t be “special” to those that choose to play it
Those that choose to play it are doing so because they love it
Thus making it special.
Worst case scenarios
No one plays it but it’s there. Nothing changes
Tons of people play it which just means people love it and get to enjoy the part of the game they love.
I just don’t see a single downside to it
Besides once OW2 hits these events may disappear so we may never get another chance depending on release date or if they keep it for OW2 content
I mean, you can place Lucio ball in custom games but not junkstien so ¯_(ツ)_/¯. I feel like it would be fair to have the all heroes versions of these game event modes as a mode in custom games.
You can only put events in custom games once the event is running.
Then we remove the events as they serve no actual purpose, let’s just have a skin release every now and then.

You’d rather remove something that’s actual game play that people like just to look pretty?
How can you have the most fun during such event if the gamemodes from those events are available 24/7?
It’s not making it fun during a specific time period now, it’s making it fun forever which eventually becomes boring.
Because I’d rather play the pve version of this game
Do note that OW1 is still a Competitive game, you’ll just have to be patient.
I’m well aware of that.
But there’s a toN Of other modes that people play and like more than just the competitive 2-2-2 and open queue.
And yes I am patiently waiting for OW2 which is what I really want.
But when we know we aren’t getting any new content until OW2 and these game modes already exist, wouldn’t it make sense to allow access to a mode that is exactly what their new game is all about?
There are players that just play arcade and custom games anyways. It just gives them another game mode.
Yeah well that’s pretty fair to say, though i still feel it removes the special part of an event as there isn’t a limited time gamemode.
They do make little tweaks to these gamemodes or add another one, though of course that could be achieved party in custom games if we had access to this.
Ever since they added all event maps to custom games i’ve kinda felt like that special part has also gone away since i can always access those maps.
This would be true if OW2 wasn’t on the horizon.
Because as soon as it hits I don’t think OW1 will be having pve game modes when there’s already a full game dedicated to doing it better
