How are we supposed to get our weekly lootboxes, if Arcade is filled with players who aren’t even trying or intentionally losing?

That is your opinion, but it should not be acceptable for players to mess around because it’s their way of “fun”. If they want to mess around, they can join Custom Games.
They should not be allowed to join Arcade gamemodes and waste other players’ time.

I kind of agree with the OP. The team modes have been getting steadily worse - MH is practically unplayable now, and I used to really enjoy that mode.

go play FFA then, some people play videogames for fun
If people throw, go ffa comp, easy wins.
I also play Overwatch to have fun. But my fun is ruined by players not playing the game like it is supposed to. And that is the issue. If you do not play the game like it is intended to, then you should not be playing it at all. If you want to mess around, because that is how you have “fun”, then do so in Custom Games where you make up the rules.
You cannot get the weekly lootboxes by playing Competitive.

I’m curious why people think that just because the game mode is under a category called “arcade” (or even more specifically “not competitive”) that suddenly the objective of the game no longer applies and it’s acceptable behavior to ruin the experience for the 11 other players?

Strange, I usually find Arcade to be fairly competitive and try-hard due to the weekly boxes.

So, because it’s called Arcade. You’re allowed to throw games and waste the time of others? And ruin their gameplay? Because YOU feel like you are entitled of having fun, whilst taking the fun away from everybody else in the game?
That is rather selfish of you.
You should join Custom Games instead, where you make up the rules.

I play exclusively qpc as support and tank. I assure you that I am not throwing, I very much prefer to win the video game.
This is why I just did duels instead. 100x more enjoyable.
Playing against proper comps in QPC while our team is just low self-sustain DPS is pretty boring.
You have two choices in taming the fun of others in non-competitive game modes: deal or leave.
Lol, you sound like the cheaters who got banned for cheating. Arguing that they bought the game, they should be able to play it however they like!
Quit being selfish. If this was a singleplayer game, then you can use that argument. But since this is a multiplayer game, it’s wrong for you to assume you have the right to ruin the experience for others.

So if others would find it fun to report you and make you banned you would be fine with that right? Cause since they bought they game they are entitled to stop you from playing the game as you want aswell. If you say no then your a hypocrite, since if you dont play with your team then your stopping 11 others from playing the game they bought in a way they want.
Or how about everyone learns what respect is and atleast tries to play the gamemodes the way they are intended and keep trolling to workshop modes? Ofcourse QP and MH etc wont be as hardcore as comp, but people should still play to win as a minimum.
