I have now had this “applying update” happen to me 4 times and the result of it is now a 10 hour ban from competitive. I want to talk to someone because this is ruining my name and my rank and also my time to play. I want to be unbanned and all losses removed.

I was banned from Overwatch 2 competitive for 20 hours because I was stuck at applying update screen when getting into the match. I waited for it to go away but after few minutes I got a ban for leaving game without any fault of mine. This has happened fourth or fifth time now. I purchase every season pass and invest my time and money into something I enjoy but it makes me very sad and angry at the same time when stuff like this happens.
Same thing’s happening to me, by far the worst bug. We’re getting punished out of no fault of our own. The devs betfer patch this soon and correct everyone’s ranks.

doesn’t seem like the devs care because I just got done trying to talk to someone through the ticket system and all they said is that it is my fault and they wont unban me nor fix my rank

has happened to me everyday for the past 3 days. on a 1 hour ban atm. apparently everytime it happens you get a longer and longer ban. they need a quick fix on this asap

So is the new section on “current issues” about this? “ We are investigating an issue where Tuesday’s Hot Fix update is not properly applying for some players. At this time we do not have an ETA on resolving the issue.”

I was playing fine until today. Played some competitive fine, and when I queued again it just popped the applying update **** and I got banned from competitive. So much for trying to complete the weeklies.
