Applying Update

I queued for a match, heard the queue pop then all of sudden I am stuck on Applying Update screen that doesnt stop. Any idea why this is happening?

Did you try logging out, and checking to see if there’s an update on the launcher?

lol there was no update in launcher, just was a random message with no update XD

You know what it probably is.
It’s that “Hotfix balance changes” thing
 I think

Since one of the features was the ability to patch, without restarting servers.
But
 it seems like that’s got issues.

It said that, did nothing and I got a loss in comp because of it. Great.

Getting excited that there might be a patch update, doesn’t look that way though sadly.

yep just happened to me i had to alt-f4 and i had a loss

probably shouldn’t queue for comp until its fixed

Definitely don’t queue competitive modes until we get an all clear

yep a bunch of streamers got it and took a loss and 15m suspension because of it. One though stayed on the screen for ages (over 5 minutes) and then exited and didn’t get a suspension

Looks like OW is broke again. I had the same issue, restarted the game, got a match, and literally 5 people (4 of my team and 1 enemy, of course) didnt even join the game. I assume they had that issue. The whole thing got cancelled though with no rank update. Next game, same thing happened but just with 1 player.

tldr; the game broke rn, best stop playing for a while till they fix it.

Happened to me and a few friends as we queued comp and we all had to restart and came back to a sweet 15 min suspension

Saw that myself, did the old alt-f4 out restarted game to get leavers and cancelled matches 4 times in a row. Decided it must be issues with everyone’s pc’s and quit playing for the day.

Blizzard servers NEVER have issues.

I have the same problem. I alt-f4 and got a penalty
