So i was silenced and cant even remember why i was silenced because its been so long since i have engaged in any toxic behaviour in a long time… I used to be angry and rageful. it was a real life problem and i admit that… But the day after i get silenced i reached level 3 endorsement. I know thats not amazing… but that does mean after EVERY game i have 3+ people endorsing me most of the time. I am not sure if thats exactly what it means lol but i do get between 2-5 endorements after every game. Anyway enough blabbering this was i wrote on my ticket.
“I was just silenced for like 2 weeks… silenced until april 14th!!! thats insane!! My silences are being multiplicative from overwatch 1 from like 3 years ago when i was a different person and a different game! I now have just recently reached the level 3 through endorsement system… do toxic players have a level 3 endorsment? I have worked very hard on my rage and anger and i think i slipped up once the other day because someone was instigating me. So i ask that a human look at this and my account and please reverse this.”
Edit- I remember now the ONLY game it can possibly be… We were owning! and 3 of the 5 groups KEPT trying to spawn camp people on the control map and then dying causing us to actually lose… MId game i called this out saying something along the lines of "Why are we spawn camping its literally causing us to lose? "IMMEDIATELY they go “Are u f****** r*****ed bro” Which prompted an argument of sorts. That is LITERALLY the only negative interaction ive had with ANYONE in overwatch in a very long time.
They will ban both sides of the argument if both are reported, because they both likely said something that violates TOS. Don’t argue with them. Instead, report it if someone says something like that to you again.
Yea boss i get that but i have never been banned or silenced in OW2… They are adding this ban from YEARS ago from over watch 1! I understand the ruleing but that is insane.
Neither devs nor CS read the forums. The only thing we can do is discuss what you have given us and provide conjecture. We’re not privvy to your chatlogs or account history, so we have no way of knowing what’s going on here.
Launching into a ticket with outrage and lots of exclaimation points does not give the impression of a calm, collected person who has been falsely banned.
Endorsements mean nothing. They can be given to you literally because the people handing them out want XP on their battle pass.
It is not an endorsement of you as a person. High endorsement =/= ‘nice person.’
The 2 week silence comes after the 24h silence (I believe.) After this you’re going to start getting suspensions if you keep on arguing with people.
You don’t get actioned for one instance either. You’ve been reported multiple times, by multiple people, across multiple games. They’re not going to give anyone special treatment based on their history.
As far as Blizz is concerned: they don’t care who started it, they’re finishing it. For all you know the people you have argued with are also getting silenced.
Anyway, I hope you manage to get in touch with a real person and get this all sorted out.
But what im saying is most of my endorsements ARE because im overly positive. If im not overly positive with the “dang nice try guy ggs” type stuff im overly negative! i cant do the inbetween. and nooo it doesnt go 24 hours to two weeks… i know the system well as why im at two weeks is because of my overwatch 1 behaviour. It doubles from one day. 2 days. 4 days. a week. 2weeks. a month, 2 months etc until they decide to ban you. i was suspended around 3-4 times silenced in OW 1 which is why i now have 2 weeks… YEARS later… in OW2

I guess I didn’t think people would consider curse words offensive since they’re so common on this game. 4 curse words over a month is not that much considering the amount of times I see someone use 4 curse words in just one game.
Also I’m just surprised I didn’t get warned because I’ve been warned once back when I was much more toxic but never got silenced.

I mean fair enough, a lot of that stuff does sound pretty bad without context, I do want to clarify however that this stuff has context and the 2 genders thing was a retort to someone else saying there’s only 2 genders. Also stuff like u fw chopsticks is in reply to something food (not race) related and the swear in mandarin is because I was drunk and accidentally hotkeyed to my mandarin keyboard when someone else said something toxic in response to joe biden 2026. “Id cook you and im white” was also a retort to someone on the enemy team saying something like our genji is only good at the game cuz they’re an African American bum. The line about Alibaba servers and ebt wifi does sound pretty racist in retrospect, though. Also, I’m not sure what you thought was a sexual innuendo.

This was over a year ago and I was actually a bit toxic (maybe not as edgy tho) back then but my anger subsided after I solved my medical issue and finished school.
That being said, I do appreciate yall’s perspective and was genuinely confused since I’m used to the game being pretty toxic. I’ll concede that maybe responding to toxicity with similar language is not super great for the community though.
