Anyone using ping lowering programs?

Anyone uses those programs? Do they really work? I need some advice

if you have under 100 ping, dont bother

I have exactly 100 ping. Would it go down to 50-60?

it depends. what ping lowering programs is take your connection and send it to the servers with a private route. think of it like this-normal people use regular planes, the ones with ping lowering systems are using a private jet. i wouldnt reccomedn it tho, since in some cases, the private route is even longer than the default one. 100 ping isnt great but its not bad either. its playable

In what world is 100 ping playable?

in this one
20 charachters

Bruh. Anything over 50 is unplayable imo.

Dont use them. Most of them do not do anything. They cant change the power of your internet or the region where you live in. The only thing you can do is to turn all other programs that require an connetion of or on offline mode. Also try to turn off not used devices like your handy or a tablet. That could help you. Dont use the programs. They do not help in any way.

tried them all. Haste is prety cool but expensive. You will get a better latency about 10-15%. Not a big deal imo. 100ms is playable with a stable connection. 70 with packet losses is not. If your connection is stable and you dont feel you are lagging dont bother. These programs can make a good connection better, not a bad one good.

For a normal game you need a ping of 23 to max 50 without hindering yourself. 100 ping is a red flag for any online PvP game. Games that just require a connection could be playable.

necrolitterally not true lol. go look it up

Well I’m used to 15 ping, but recently I’ve had like 39 so even that’s not ideal  That’s why I think anything over 50 is just bad.

youve never played on over 50 ping, so you dont know what its like. ive played on 15, 30, 80, 100 and 150. i noticed a difference only on 150

100-150 ping really isn’t that bad. Don’t get me wrong, can be a lot better, but it’s definitely playable.

People who have internet that is usually below 60 ping probably just experience very high packet loss when it spikes above 100. But I’m just using terms I think that mean what I want to say…

Not only did I not know 15 ping was even possible, I’ve never heard someone complain about 39 ping…

the latency number is usually the least of your problems. 10 to 50 is not noticeable. 50 to 80 is barely noticeable. 100-120 is noticeable and kinda bad. Not too bad, kragie plays with 100-120 many times in t500 and he just miss widow duels and stuff like that.

Programs use servers to reroute your connection. If they dont have a server available in your region/country/area you will not gain anything. Some programs work better in NA and others better in EU. You need to know where is the server you want to connect, where is the server the program is using and if you can indeed bypass the main latency bottleneck using this program.

I’ve used haste before and it did help, but it fixed a Very specific problem. Probably something to do with routing.

My ping used to be 27 but every few months it would just rise a couple points. Eventually it was just like 80ms so I decided I’d try Haste for a month or two. And… it worked. It fixed the routing problem. My ping was back to 27ms.

So if your connection is actually being routed in an inefficient way, something like Haste will actually help you.

But it won’t fix problems like:
Packet loss
Physical distance between you and the server
Bottlenecks in your home network
Wireless latency

Haste has a free trial, test it out and see how it changes your ping.

Edit! Haste actually has a completely free plan now. No free trial. But it says it’s one path, so performance may vary.

Most of them have free trials so it doesn’t actually hurt to try.

Personally I use exitlag which gets my ping from 50-60ms (unstable) to a mostly stable 20-30ms but the reason you experience high ping might be different so it might not worn for you.
Exitlag is the only one I ever saw actually work for me so I recommend to atleast try the 3 days of free trials.

ExitLag helps me reducing ping by 10-30%, you can try it 3 days for free.

It isn’t worth getting a BAN over. You have to be really careful what you are doing. There are programs out there that are not exactly legit.

You need to research some things about networking. All a program can do is try to route you the best way to their servers. But that doesn’t always mean that they are actually doing that. AT Most they might be offering you some sort of Proxy ROUTE. But if it is FREE. It still comes at a cost.
