I don’t know about all of you, but I feel like tanking has been the most unfun experience I’ve had lately. I can’t put my finger as to the reason why, but I hate playing tank because
- You’re the biggest beefiest target that everyone shoots at
- It feels like the better tank is always going to win the match
- Little room for error and misjudgments
- Because of the above, you’re a bigger target of toxicity and complaints
It doesn’t help that the matchmaker feels rigged a lot of the times. The tank role boils down to who can swap to the right hero at the right time. I can’t stick to one hero I enjoy because the counter comes out and makes the game twice as difficult to win. It’s no wonder the tank role queue is less than 10 seconds to find a match.

I am. Just because of Ana. Back to DPS today. Had enough of Ana most games sucking the fun out of tanking with nade.
And I’m not the only one. This season DPS queue times seem to have gone up from 1-3 minutes to 3-6 minutes in EU at the same time of the evening. Tank queues are near instant. I guess more DPS players, less tank players.

I do agree with this part for sure. The matchmaker IS rigged, it doesn’t just feel that way.
But personally I have been queuing nothing but tank for the past few weeks. Ball and doom are pretty fun atm.
I’m not bullying, I’m just ‘distracting their backline.’ And ‘distracting’ the console players running back from spawn.

It is actually the opposite. I have been grinding this game hard to get Slytherin Widowmaker on my alt account so that I could just one trick her in peace without worrying about getting falsely suspended and honestly… I just feel as if I wasted a lot of time. It was somewhat fun. I experimented a lot with different heroes and roles… But, realistically, playing Reinhardt is still more enjoyable than all of that nonsense.
I do not particularly want to do Widowmaker only anymore. I am landing tons of sick shots, but the dopamine just isn’t there. I just want to swing my hammer, bro.

Which is exactly why 6v6 needs to come back. Having the only tank on the team go down is virtually an insta-loss. But with 2 tanks, at least there’s one more to prevent the hard-counter.

I got sick of solo tanking back in season 2.
I’ve only played tank in seasonal brawls for the extra battlepass xp.
PC or Console? I’m support on console and I´m lobby hoping so fast so I changed it to manual re-que…
But playing tank is so team dependent. If one tank just gets little love it is game over for the opposing tank. So yes it is not fun.
Prefer to have tanks in OQ it is more fun to play support…
