I know they announced 6v6 is going to be returning in baby steps.
When is this actually gonna happen? I’m assuming its going to be in arcade mode or something but I’m really trying to play that mode soon as it comes out.

To my knowledge, proper 6v6 tests will probably not be until S14 or later. They said they’ll be running some tests on alternative team comps in S13 quick play though, whatever that means.
For instance, we think there could be other ways of putting a team together that aren’t quite as rigid as a set composition, but not as loose as Open Queue. We’ll be running at least one Quick Play: Hacked based on this idea in Season 13.

thats sooooooooooooo farrrrrrrrrrrr awayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy. I hope they mean s13 they are thinking of adding 6v6 to QP. Gonna guess it will be a surprise? Maybe thats why they were so open ended with S13
Personally, I’m skeptical of the whole 6v6 experiment. I think I agree it’s a superior way to experience Overwatch, but I don’t think players will accept the queue time issues returning which there still is no answer to. Additionally, I’m skeptical if tank players will accept the nerfs that their characters will have to receive in a 6v6 format now that they’ve essentially been gods for two full years (even though tank players are a lot of the ones asking for 6v6 to return…)
People were quite unhappy with OW1 at many points in his history as well. It may just be a combination of romanticizing the past and scapegoating it for the game’s current issues.
