I am definitely looking forward to it. Despite what people on these Forums say, I do think that pros and the such have good suggestions and knowledge when it comes to balance.

i dont really see it as being much different than like workshop stuff…and i think there are probably way more creative people there than amongst a tiny portion of professional players…
still curious to see what they do…but i doubt its going to be anything ground breaking…i doubt itll feel much different compared to what even the devs do

- Rush and Dive.
I think it is entirely up to WHO is doing it. I hope they pick honest, genuine, less biased people who take balance seriously and want to see the integrity of the game improved and balance restored. Jake, ML7, Moth, Surefour, Flats, Emongg, SVB, would all be great candidates
Just no meme streamers please that want to double genji damage or give rein wall climb
Like I said, it depends. There are actually a lot of streamers/pros who want dive nerfed if brig is changed

Meme patch should just be a workshop content thing. I feel like this tournament would generally represent HOW the pros want the game balanced as there are competitive games (the tournament) being played on it. I don’t want them to blow this by picking some biased genji main who wants him to have 32 damage and 6 second deflect and dash
I don’t see that happening tbh, or at least ~ they won’t be able to agree, which will in the end result in them not taking it serious, if that makes sense.
I’m not sure all the pros would ever agree on balance since they are largely playing different classes of hero, and we don’t know that these players are capable of being entirely objective observers. Some might be, but to say that all of them are is sort of a stretch for my imagination, personally. So there’s going to either be some sour apples in the project that don’t like the balanced end result, or, more likely, they’ll start subconsciously or consciously sabotaging the choices they get to make and influence the overall process in a negative way because they’re upset that their particular hero/category wasn’t made the way they wanted it to be made.
And since we’re talking about gamer dudes that may not have like, the best emotional maturity? eh… seems entirely possible that we wind up with a ‘joke’ from the Pro’s. Hopefully not, but I can certainly see how it would play out that way.

I really don’t understand why. They did nothing to really hurt the game and just do their job, to play the game well professionally. And really, there’s only a minority who are actually vocal about balance

probably bring back og dive. Give d.va 4 secs of dm. Winston some buffs to his ult. Genji damage buffed. Tracer fall off and bomb nerfs reverted. Lucio speed nerf reverted, ana buffed somehow. Zen nerf reverted.

I feel like most people on the forum think actual pro players and any GM Streamers are the same and everytime a Streamer cries they think a Pro cries

I think the forums think pros are in charge of balance and make every decision. The reality is, they don’t. If they did, the game would be very much different
