Anyone here got a 3080ti that can hit 500+fps?

So I had bought a 3080ti for like 525$ months ago but before I start getting parts, who here can hit 500+fps with the same gpu? I currently got a build perfect for my 3060ti but I really want to try that 540hz monitor. So yea 1080p 500+ fps peeps in here with a 3080ti? Would be dope to see specs and possibly some screen recordings too? :pray:t3::eyes:

Not in this economy :sob:

I have a bare bones basic build with my RTX 3060 Ti, so nothing beefy, I think the highest FPS I’ve hit is like 100, maybe 130 FPS.

Hitting 500+ would likely require some heavy duty tech tbh.

12 gb 2060 here, paired to a 5600x, and 32 gb of ram…

Uncapped I hit 350-400 fps on low settings (Yes I play on Low for the frames, fight me.)

You don’t need a high end GPU for this game, I’ve never come close to using all 12 gb on Overwatch.

What CPU do you have? This is most likely going to be the bottleneck for hitting 500fps.

Do you have a monitor that can hit 500+fps?

I bought a 1440p GSYNC IPS display that OC’s to 165hz. Still using an RTX2080ti because the RTX4000’s had self-immolating connectors for a long while, but the 2080ti easily handles 165fps at High graphics quality settings. The extra resolution makes a difference in long range Widow vs. Widow fights. Up close, not so much…

At this point, I might as well wait for the RTX 5000’s despite the extra cost.

This is… weird in general. I’m running a RTX 2060. I turned down the settings on OW2 because I wasn’t hitting 165 at max settings after it released. I was still hitting a solid 130 - 140~ though. Your card should be about 30% stronger then mine. Are you being bottlenecked somewhere?

Intel(R) Core™ i5-10400F CPU @ 2.90GHz (12 CPUs), ~2.9GHz (from my DxDiag)

Like I said, mine’s a basic build, nothing beefy. I want to get something a little more hard hitting next time around (mine’s a prebuilt from Alienware)

Most likely, my build is nothing impressive, it was a prebuilt from Alienware (I was working with a strict budget and didn’t know where to look for good parts at a low price).

7800x3d + 4070 super here
Everything on low as everyone should play lol
Easy 500 fps consistently but I only have a 240 hz monitor so I cap it to 300.

Screen recording and video playback at 540fps isn’t going to be easy (if it’s even possible)

Overwatch is more sensible to ram and cpu. Gpu, at 1080p Most of them would be able to deliver a
Just fine on lower settings about 100-360fps range.

At medium/high mostly high end ones.

To reach 540, your cpu needs to be able to deliver that, but also your ram speeds enable him to do so.

Overwatch is more cpu bound than gpu, if your goal is to reach higher framerates. As rule of thumb put all on off/low. Render scale at 100%, remove scalers like dlss/fsr and remove reduced buffering. The fps you get would be the maximum you would achieve with your cpu.

After that you tweak settings to enable a more pleasant visuals with the compromise on overall quality.

I play everything on low for less fps drops and this game mostly bottleneck my CPU and barely have any gpu usage. So I think you will need a beefy cpu with strong singlethread performance like the 7800x3d or I7-14700K

Yeah I definitely suspect that your CPU will be the bottleneck on your FPS. A few months back my main computer died and I had to use an older i5 12600K system and my FPS dropped considerably. I sometimes cant even maintain 240hz with a 3090. But with my old CPU which was way better I was always capped out at 240 without a hitch. I dont know what the upper limit was since i never completely unbound my FPS, but i think i was more than capable of doing 400+.

If you want to maintain 500fps, youll almost certainly need a top tier CPU like an 14900K or 7900X3D.

4080ti, DLSS 3 Frame Gen and a Ryzen 7 7800x3D will most likely hit 500fps

I only have a 75Hz monitor, but with my 3050 6gb i get the max 75 fps the monitor can display without a single frame drop.

A better framerate makes you better at cooking, building, dancing, it improves poor eyesight, regrows hair and makes you a better lover. Everyone knows that by now.

I thought everyone was playing at 1000 FPS on OLED.

Don’t think so. Seen benchmarks with 4090 and 7950x3d on 1080p low settings. It averages 570s, but it still drops to low 400s at times.
