Anyone happy with Cassidy changes?

Just like his ult!!! I hate it how some ults are impactful and others are well…

Honestly at this point idk what Cass is suppose to be anymore, i personally always saymw cass most fitting as a bodyguard like role, protecting support and Vulnerable teammates from flankers or dive heroes. But they just don’t know how to give him an ability that’ll be effective at it without it being annoying. and at this point he just seems like chunky hitscan with big numbers

Personally, I despise it.

I found the last version of Magnetic Grenade to be tolerable from an enemy, but this awful bang (It’s not even deserving of “flash,” period) has infuriated me way more than someone setting off New Years fireworks in the middle of May.

The 50% movement speed reduction feels like more than 50% and honestly to God and even the devil himself, I’d rather shieldbot as Reinhardt for that sluggish pace.

God apparently forbid you nerf Roadhog or else a non-tank needs to take the mantle, I suppose.

I hate the new flashbang in 5v5…

With the grenade at least, you could defend yourself against dive tanks by having some burst potential and the ability to disrupt their engages.

now things like doom, dva, winston, ball just destroy you without the help of your team, you can’t be enough of a threat against them even if you have very good aim. really bad change. Current flashbang is like a wet fart at best.

Grenade hinder just was a really bad ability stacked with other abilities such as sleep, hack, anti etc.

A problem with 5v5… abilities are too strong stacked on top of eachother, but if you take them away from heroes they become too weak on their own.

if they buff flashbang people will start crying again because it is overall more reliable than mag grenade and IMO less fun to use.

You lost the range on an ability that is supposed to slow not let tanks get close to you. Now it’s just close range so you get destroyed, it’s useless without CC

I think after giving him a go. His original changes for OW2 should of stayed. The flash bang is nice but his sticky grenade was muchhh better in 5v5. Also his ult is a little less fun especially since you need to stand still like a stick to get full potential :neutral_face:

I think it works great

Its pretty much merging both OW1 and 2 granades

And so far I’m feeling a lot better seeing Cassidys not throwing that thing out of the map xD

I dont not liké thé change at all for multiple reason you trow it AT ennemis juste in front of you it go behind thème and you launcher it other Time and thé range IS garbage IS that thé reason hé Lost IS hand because thé range IS probably equal or less than a hit from Reinhardt hammer swing lol :rofl::rofl::rofl:

Where do you get the idea that that was the intended effect?

Since I’m pretty sure the devs haven’t ever said anything like that.

they buffed the range when they added hinder, slow…

before it had short range when it did 120 damage

I think the devs keep making CC with the intent to get flankers, and then they keep getting less mobile heroes instead. But that “Use Cass to kill Tracer” is more in line with their goals.

That said, Cass is due for another nerf. Probably the devs making it so that both armor passives are active at the same time.

So maybe think of what sort of buff you want next.

It’s better against Tracer, Ball but worse against every other hero, so now it just feels worse.

I was farming Genji’s with mag nade

Doomfist still stuns, counter rein charge and his ult still stun, hog hook, javelin, rock, sleep, still cancel abilities. Venture is like playing against 3 right click only Lucios. Illari has an ult that rivals most tanks and DPS and is the most crowd control of any ability. But Cassidy can’t have his old stun nade back? Removing the stun nade made the entire game far more enjoyable. Fun is being able to react/predict to make decisions, not be a ball in a pinball game. There is a reason we play the flippers and not the ball.
