Lol, ok. Well, it’s 67% now because I played more games. No other hero can pocket nearly as consistently as Mercy. There are too many limitations for each of them. Gaining 60 HPS won’t take anything away from Mercy, but it will make her nearly a must-pick and take away from everyone else.
Her mobility and consistency will be what sets her apart. Moira will have more heals and damage, but no verticality and no utility. Mercy will have mobility, consistency, and utility (Damage boost and rez). Ana will have the best burst heals, the best utility (anti nade), CC (sleep) at the cost of being less consistent/harder. Ana will be the best but the hardest, which is good IMO as skill should be rewarded.
Zen is only ever gonna be viable with Mercy, Bap, or Brig. Bap Zen is super fun but also that’s always bunker meta which makes me fall asleeeeeeeeeeeep lol Ig I just miss dive being viable.
Well if this week in GM is anything to go by, the upcoming meta is going to be Ana Mercy Echo (and probably Mcree) which means no Lucio for once rofl.

If a professional team tried it, doesn’t it stand to reason that they, in their professional opinions, thought it could work? It must be something they practiced with. Just because it didn’t work doesn’t mean it wasn’t a good idea.

That’s just not true…at all. If it would make her a must pick why have OWL support players suggested it? They HATED when she was a must pick. They’re intelligent about game balance enough to know it will just make her viable, not overly-dominant or necessary.
But if it bothers you that much they can just buff her healing on PC and leave it as 50 on console.

if you nerf base damage boost (like you asked), sure
mercy/zen was fun for the supports (especially a pocketed zen) but they enabled a lot of oneshots when stacked
I think it could work as abilities. Like Moira could keep aoe orb but not primary fire. In fact I would prefer if her primary fire returned to 80hps but be single target with proper visual adjustments to make it easier to aim.
They’re just bored of the meta and want to shake things up. I’ve only heard a handful of them talk about buffing her HPS back to 60 HPS. I think most of them remember that 60 HPS was too much and was nerfed for a reason.
And no, we don’t need more (or any) disparate balancing between platforms. I know you’ll never believe this, but, speaking as someone who plays on both console and PC, we are playing the same game.

That’s not a particularly viable strategy at the moment.
I personally think it’s because many of the flanker DPS are underpowered.
not underpowered, powercrept out of relevance, which although its technically being underpowered it doesn’t mean they need buffs, just the things that counter them need tuned down
They’re probably not the same ones. The ones wanting Mercy buffs (Neptuno, maybe Ark) are the ones who would like Mercy to be a mustpick. Because - let’s be real - their Mercys are a lot better than their Lucios. On the other hand, there are a lot of others that are fine with Mercy being trash.
I’m not sure how objective a person like Neptuno is about Mercy considering that she is his best hero by far. He’s made a name for himself with getting more final blows than anyone else on her. On the other hand, his Lucio and Bap have been… meh.
I still manage to out heal my buddy as Mercy whenever they’re Ana sometimes, her healing is definitely underrated

You’re right that it’s not viable very often. I agree that flankers don’t work nearly as well as they used to. I think it’s that the tanks are too strong, though, rather than flankers being too weak. It’s really dangerous to buff the flankers. From trying to play Tracer/Sombra recently, I feel like tanks have too many easy ways to make me irrelevant.

I agreed with you up to the point where you suggested to nerf Mercy even more to get 60hps back.
Mercy’s power level is scraping the bottom of the barrel. She could get buffed several times and still not need any compensation nerfs, because she’s basically already gotten them in advance.
