I don’t think that she’s OP, but everything about her is just so triggering
Her job is to be able to stay behind the enemies and kill the Supports, while being highly countered by any stun, but just the fact that as a Support/Widow it’s almost impossible to kill her, no that does not make her op because that’s what she was made for, but it’s just sO anNoyInG, and then she’s like “hAhA tOo slOwWw” SHUT THE HELL UP SMHHHH

Not sure I agree with her being more busted than McCree. Mobility is one of the strongest things you can give a character in any game, and Tracer has vastly more than McCree. The jerky, burst mobility of Tracer is one of the most annoying things to deal with in this game.
I don’t hate the character, i hate the unpredictable nature of her mobility followed up by her burst damage. But i guess that’s what she’s designed to do. Still though, it makes it a chore to fight good tracers as no amount of practice will allow you to consistently predict where she’ll blink next and actually hit her. It’s all reaction time and a lot of luck if the tracer is good.
Tracer is fine, but people need to be less controversial about certain abilities that exist to keep her in check instead of screaming they are “no skill”, asking for those to be removed or nerfed to the ground, and then act surprised when no one is willing to peel your backline from her assault.
Also, they need to fix the blink-hack interaction, because Tracer is unhackeable outside of EMP because of the way this works. You can blink against a wall, without actually moving, and it will break the hack attempt!
My only issue with Tracer is how her blinks affects things. The hack interaction mentioned above is one thing, but she can also break Roadhog hooks with her blink, even if she blinks within LOS and doesn’t cut across cover.
It’s infuriating, especially given that Roadhog is one of the characters people suggest to counter Tracer (I’d argue that, but I digress). How am I supposed to counter the Tracer when even the netcode doesn’t want me to?
I know mobility skills are supposed to invert the favor-the-shooter dynamic, but Tracer’s blinks are so cheap that they shouldn’t be given the same preferential weight as other skills with triple the cooldown and no charge stacking.
I like the character, but despise the kit. It speaks volumes that she is often top DPS in the game, and it was necessary to create not one, but two characters directly to deal with her (Moira and Brig). My real irritation is people flat out denying that her movement brings any benefit to the character and that “it’s all skill baby” when the kit (like any other) grants significant benefits.
