Who’s the genius that thought that was a good idea? Why have someone wait 5 seconds when they’re going to leave regardless?
It’s just a warning to tell you if you keep doing this you will get a penalty.
Only those that rage leave games are unhappy with the warning.

What if I leave out of disappointment and not rage?
Usually I afk when I get bot teammates, games end pretty fast anyway
The timer’s annoying because if I’m leaving a game, it’s probably due to something that requires my immediate attention, like the doorbell going off. I shouldn’t have to force the program to close with Alt + F4 or saddle my teammates with an AFKer until the game boots me.
Then you should still wont see it, ALT+F4.

people rage quit in a moment of rage that usually passes after 2 or 3 seconds.
this is to discourage you from leaving.

Yeah, I had mastered the art of one frame quits, but this 5 sec timer just ruined it. If im gonna leave im gonna leave though, so some timer to does nothing to stop me from getting out of there. If they ever increase it to anything beyond 15 secs then Ill just dashboard at that point.

Yes, when I actually afk I contribute as much as my “teammates” who are “playing”.
If you don´t have 5 seconds, than why are you even playing?
