Anyone else get double-warnings every time they log in?

I get two warning popups every time I log in lately about my “communication”, despite not being rude, vulgar or disrespectful to anyone.

You can be reported even if you never say a word, Blizzard don’t care.

I’m sorry to hear that, OP. But to answer your question, no, I have not seen those messages.

Only got two in my life after I called someone dumb.

So I guess don’t do that?

I’ve played ever since the Overwatch 1 beta, I use both text and voice chat regularly and have never seen those messages even once.

I’ve called people dumb a fair bit and I still haven’t seen those messages. I guess Blizzard agreed with me?

I’m assuming the double-warning is a bug and you always get two warnings instead of just one. But the fact that I get a warning every time suggests I am being reported all the time.

Maybe the system glitched out somehow and you’re not actually even being given a true warning. It might be worth your time to make a thread over in Bug Reports, if you haven’t already.

No, I genuinely believe I am being reported because I play upwards of 20-30 games per day and the more you play the more likely you are to get reported.

I only ever got a chat warning one time, but I got the you have been mass avoided warning at least 10 times.

bro, that’s like 6 hours on average. You play OW for a living?

There’s a warning for that? :joy:

Don’t worry guys, this is my specialty. I use voice lines.
You are being reported for “disruptive behavior”

I seen this since forever. As long as you stay out of voice, and don’t type dumb things, you are safe. The reason that shows up is because they are reporting you for voice chat.

I know this because I don’t use voice. But I do use voice lines (“bit dodgey dontcha think?” etc) more than the average saiyan warrior. I can see why someone might call that disruptive. But if the taunt works, I’m going to use it more, video game logic.

I can’t remember the last time I haven’t seen it. But the idea is don’t talk in voice and those reports are literally empty. (Like, even if you think blizzard reports is run purely by bots, they can’t pin you to anything when you haven’t talked in voice in months)
If you don’t like hearing voice lines, you mute them from the scoreboard.

Question is, why are Blizzard constantly looking for (any) ways to ban their own player base? Seems counterproductive to me.

They are not. It’s the other players looking for the easiest way to get you banned. Because you didn’t play the way they wanted or whatever.
I’m so sure there’s people petty enough that when they lose they will report the heaviest person on the team for whatever and hope it sticks.
and the funny thing is, I think this works. On some(not all) people, who type a lot and are loud. Who already have legit complaints piled up, and then one of these false reports actually does tip them over.

I type almost nothing in game. Some games I type gg, when it was a good, close match. But I like the ping system, voice is much less needed these days.

I wear that disruptive behavior message as a badge of honor. Because I’m disrupting no one, I’m just playing the game. But I know people want to silence me (the wrong way)

Not yet. I am still going strong with being as obnoxious as humanly possible while sucking at the game and nothing has happened.

Maybe in gutterlo people don’t even know how to report yet. Or maybe you’re not even playing competitive to begin with.

It wouldn’t surprise me. If they cannot figure out how to play Overwatch, why should you expect them to be able to report?

I am usually in 0 channels. I get them from time to time. I just giggle. It is an auto reaction to reports.
