in a 15 min queue right now just wondering why queue times are so long at the beginning of a new season isnt this when theyre usually the lowest?

Apparently I should be getting a game in <1 minute, but I’ve been sitting here waiting for 5.

3mins for support was odd for me.
The Support queue is about twice as long 3+ min or so here. But then I suspect everyone is trying out Juno, which is pretty cool. Maybe she’ll make some converts to the role.
I wonder if kicking nearly 550k cheaters reduced the player count even more or more likely no one is playing tank lol. I tried QP solo queue to try juno again and the queues are 8-12 mins long.
less than 1 min on dps for me…
support I didn’t even try. accepted to have garbage supports forna few games. nothing you can do. new hero is there so you have to beta test for your teammates and accept they won’t do anything.
blizzard managed to make me from always tank to never tank by making it unrewarding und awful to play. S9 and s11 patched ruined it imho.
buff tanks more make it less enjoyable to play.
i love 30k armor, so fun ngl.

The new trend seems to be “Avoid the game on a hero launch, then a week or two afterwards the game should be decent enough to tolerate once people figure out their s*$% again.”
Already bad enough that getting a basic good experience is rare and far few in between matches.
So players just aren’t tolerating it anymore.
They want fun, so naturally players avoid what’s not fun or meaningful for their experience and time.
What are you queued for?
All of mine have been really, really quick today. I queued all for a few, got instant (tank) games. Queue dps/support, ofc get dps every game because everyone is playing juno, but also is really quick. longest I’ve waited is like a minute. Haven’t been able to play support since the patch though.
i was queued for all roles with a friend who was queueing for dps
The player count has zero bearing on queue times, only player role ratio does.
