Highlight intros like Kiriko’s Halloween sweeping intro look kinda dumb or goofy unless you have the specific skin for it equipped. Some of them don’t even have a corresponding skin like the tennis Moira intro and are just… goofy

Minor diversion here, but this exists over in Paladins too, in a hilarious way.
That game’s “Default Shooter Guy,” Viktor (basically Soldier; automatic rifle, grenade, jogging) has a werewolf skin, and a victory pose to go with it, where the wolfman is howling.
But you don’t have to have the werewolf skin equipped to use it.
So at the end of a match you can just see this Russian infantryman popping a squat with his jaw hanging about a foot open, it’s hilarious.

i’d like to point out that the highlight intros we DO get - namely Cassidy & Soldier - actually look great. there’s sooo much that can be done with the unique powers that the roster in Overwatch has and i’d love to see how the developers can get creative with them. but they haven’t.
People that use Santa Torb past Christmas remind me of the King of the Hill episode where Bill refuses to take off the Santa outfit for months because he’s deaparate to meet single moms.

The highlight intros I don’t like are the ones that feature another heroes, like that one for Orisa with Rein, or the one for Junkrat with Soldier, etc.

I like the highlight intro best, where they just stand and don’t move.
I like having random victory poses/hilights, but I really wish you could make a “favorites” list to randomize- or at least be able to select “all but this one”. For example I can’t stand the original Halloween victory poses where it’s just an arm coming out of the ground. I can’t select random victory pose just because I want to avoid being just an arm?
Soldiers anime intro or whatever it was looks mighty silly with his Commander Morrison skin.

This has been a complaint of mine since OW1 and the intros keeping being added so of course I’m going to discuss it… on the forums… lol

Mercy’s lifeguard highlight intro is just awkward without the skin equipped. She’s just holding the pistol instead.

No one should care what any of us think.
That said, I can’t help but to think how stupid it looks (to me) when someone uses the Pharah Basket Ball dunk highlight.
I always try to match my highlights in a stylized way with the skins used.
Example: Mei - Her Sprinkles skin goes really well with her “Going Up” highlight intro.
Just played my first match of the day and Lucio gets POTG not even 5 mins ago.
