Anyone else demoralized by the game right now?

I cant really find much “fun” in the game anymore. Maybe i just need to take a break from it, i dont know.

Arcade is pretty much the only sanity left but even that dumpster fire these days

Total Mayhem is a bust now, nothing but doomfist, doomfist, doomfist.

Still love capture the flag and i know alot of other people do too, wish they focused more on maps with CTF qualities to em.

No Limits - Ok guys what are we picking? “6 symmetras” and whats the enemy team using “6 symmetras” those turrets in Mass are pretty unkillable.

Mystery Heroes - Well mine arnt viable anymore might as well play the OW lottery and hope theres a bad team comp made and we get a good one.

These “buffs” to my favorite character sombra make her SO BORING to play, I dont even like watching top 500 players playing as sombra anymore when they are in PTR.

Wrecking Ball MIGHT shake things up, but i honestly think he’s just a “publicity” character ment to draw in new/old players with cuteness.

I dont know the state of the game now seems bad to me and I can barely play 3 matches these days before low moral sets in and im playing till i get my next win so i can feel a little better bout my time spent in game. Utterly demoralized and not much to look foreward to, am I the only one feeling this way?

It bugs me when I’m having to look for new games to play when there already is a game like and want to play but the feelings not there anymore. Seems the more updates we get the less “fun” stays in the game.

I’m bit like that now. I haven’t touched the game for few weeks now. Planning on playing again when Wrecking Ball is released.

I remember the times where i coundt wait to get home after a long day to play overwatch,
Now it seems more of a chore so the sr dont decrease

comp has long since been dead for me. I usually just do the last week of the seasons just to get an idea on how i’d do. It’s not very fun though LFG helped a bit but it’s still the same mess just with 5 dedicated people. A game shouldnt feel like work, and thats what overwatch has started to feel like to me too. Think thats the main reason i like the PvE stuff alot, i could just hop in and kill AI (not the braindead training AI that only know how to walk a straight line.) and have fun.

Yeah, I’ve gotten to the point too where the game is no longer fun. I tried comp for the first time since season 2 and found it to be boring and uninteresting not to mention extremely toxic to the point where I had to actually quit two games mid game. Went back to Casual/QP and every game was a steamroll.

State of the game now is very poor. Will Wrecking Ball make things better? I don’t believe so but I could be wrong. I’ve lost all faith in the game now. The game feels like a chore rather than fun being a tank or healer so much pressure is put on you by your DPS and 99% of the time in QP DPS fail badly.

I was like that when i first brought the game. I spend many days playing it and enjoying it and when i reached lvl 100 i stopped playing QP and started playing in Arcade mainly Total Mayhem and then doomfist came. It ruined my fun on that mode and then started playing Mystery Heroes i enjoyed it until it started became toxic.

The most fun i have this game is when PvE modes came such has Uprising, Retribution & Halloween. They were so much fun. I wish Blizz makes a full PvE mode someday.

Yes by the players because people don’t care and don’t want to work as a team. This is why fornite and battlefield is popular. They run around and rambo. I don’t care if anyone think those games have team work, people just do whatever they want most of the time.

Definitely take a break. My life situation restricts the time I can play Overwatch down to one or two days a week, sometimes missing a week altogether and the time im not able to I’m always looking forward to playing. A year ago I used to have time to play overwatch every day and usually I would… But I got burned out very quickly. It can get tiresome playing any game for hours on end without a break. Try picking up a different game, or picking up a hobby you can fill your time with.

yup just like i said Doomfist took over Total Mayhem, no one cares though.

Permanent PvE would be a god send at this point. Give me something to do co-op besides vs other players and have to bring my A-Game EVERY MATCH.

@ Storm - guess it would have to be devs more, felt really let down by the changes and where they are bringing the game’s focus onto. Everyone is competitive, aim, has to be competive, not balance for competitive. And these OWL parasites make it worst. Came keeps being balanced to their needs not the masses and people say “well so and so on that teams, says this, and he’s in OWL must be true”

The game is so serious now and about 4x less fun then it was a year ago.

You bring up a very good point. With heroes like Brid, Doom, Widow and Hanzo it’s easy to try and play solo. And almost every game has at least 2 out of 4 of these heroes. Do these players care about teamwork? No, they just want POTG and get their ego trip up.

Preach and when they want to think about teamwork. They don’t know how to perform it well. Then they result to reporting because they couldn’t understand anything about syncing up / synergy.

I’m going to be playing OFF heros for a while so I can fall down the ladder a bit and then enjoy some actual fun games where I can kill everyone and carry to win! That’s one way to get better practice.
They need to add a LOT more new heros and FAST if they want to keep this game good and interesting. Then when there is more variety of each role you might see more crazy things like 4 tank-1-1. And then they can figure out how to balance that the way the game is meant to be balanced so that you need to come up with better strategies to take out the enemy composition.

There needs to be enough characters so that people who arent good with tracer and genji still have options to choose from other than just winston and moira and mei.

Don’t do it because players will troll report and game masters will support that. Isn’t that right stalking moderators who peeps on the forums? You don’t have to say anything because you know it’s true.

Yes but not because of what you stated, as a tank main i find it less and less fun to play main tank.

Im playing Hanzo for a while now, might just go comp with him.

Yup. Even when you get a good, cooperative team, the meta is an absolute chore to play against, unless you’re a Widow/Hanzo main. I guess they’re having fun.

I thought about ranking down to see what broze is like. Been Upper-Gold/Low-Plat since i first went into ranked. I kinda want to see how bad bronze play is. Right now i think it’s just rank shaming to be honest they cant be that bad at the bottom… can they? Either way no way for me rank down other then throw and i dont want to be banned for that. Guess i need to find 5 other people who want to go down.

I love total mayhem, most other games modes are really boring.
