Wondering if anyone else feel weird when it comes to aiming in OW2. Something seem extremely off for me. I don’t know why either I can’t put my finger on it. Does anyone know if they changed anything sensitivity wise or if they changed something that would affect aim?
Everything feels like there’s this .015 sec delay to it. For some actions you don’t feel it, but for others it’s definitely noticeable, especially for Bap lamp.
Yeah. I’ve been saying this since the first match I played. I’m thinking it’s hitboxes or something.
Been thinking this exact same thing all day. Can’t figure it out yet. Sure DPS move quicker, but as an ana main, I’m missing way more shots in OW2. I’m sure some if it has to do with the new maps, new abilities you are tying to dodge, etc. However, something is off.
Don’t feel my aim is off because I play Moira.
I thought I was just rusty, but also I mentioned to someone that it also felt like characters were sort of teleporting around, and they said they agreed, which isn’t ACTUALLY it but … movement feels… jerky? and so people just aren’t where you think they’ll be.
I definitely do. I posted about it the other day as well, but I checked and my sensitivity in OW1 is I think 4.05 and in OW2 is 4.04. I doubt that’s something I would hardly notice, but it seemed odd to me that I cant match the same number.
I think yesterday someone pointed out that sensitivity is slightly different compared to ow1, like few % higher.
This is a common complaint for many of us. I’m struggling with it personally. The DPS speed boost is surely a part of it, which makes sense since Lucio speed boost often impacted my aim in OW1. I feel there may be more to it though.
I had to enter the exact value on the keyboard then hit the enter key not on the numpad. That was the only way it would accept my values, but it didn’t help my aim issue.
Yes, OW2 I miss so many shots with Ana, I thought something was wrong with me, went back to OW1 and felt like a super star. Something is off on the aim, among many things.
If you’ve been playing Sojourn, her main fire is actually a slowmoving projectile that you can dodge at long range, similar to Orisa’s gun.
So if you move your cursor to aim at a moving target, you’ll consistently miss behind their direction of movement - you need to lead them a fair bit to hit.
yes! i thought i was the only one. its really weird
Yeah, there is something not quite right.
One thing that helped was setting my game to the highest resolution and enabling precision mouse acceleration or whatever it’s called, as well as enabling reduced buffering.
But even with those tweaked, it is still slightly off.
my aim was off as well but i was using my ow1 fov which was 80 i think. was using 80 in ow2 but for some reason i like that fov better for ow1. so i maxed my fov to 103 in ow2 and im hitting shots way better
The sensitivity is obviously substantially higher in the OW2 Beta. I could tell almost immediately as I was playing my first match and proceeded to adjust my settings to compensate.
Well glad see I’m not only to be driven nuts by this feeling haha. I swear I’ve been staring at my OW1 setting & my OW2 setting thinking what is different, but they’re both the same haha.
I had to lower my sens from what i have it on live. Also the hero movement feels off. Feels floaty.
I’ve felt floaty also. hmm. Also, how much did you lower your sens from live?
