and i mean only on overwatch. I’m really not a person who acts on impulse.
except when it comes to Overwatch.
I realized I should probably learn how to play Zarya so, ok, let’s try her in QP, why not? In back to back games w/ my friend I got her pixel and cute, carried and did our DPS’ job better than they did.
So I immediately bought the totally 80’s skin. dunno if I’ll even play the character that much anymore, but i did it. i do this all the time I do remotely good once with any character, anybody else?
not really. something id suggest tho, is buying an anniversay skin next time, and just wait for the halloween event to happen. you get waaaay more value
I only really consider that for Summer. I did think abotu buying Cyberian, but Halloween is 6 months out, and a hell of a lot changes in that time with myself definitely, and I have the foresight to know I’d probably be picking up Zarya, since I genuinely do enjoy her. Sorta based n how good the skins look for me and I just prefer 80’s, and generally I don’t use any two skins at once.
Game did force me into spending 3k on Sniper Ana, because waiting a year for that would be a death sentence for me.
If I can get them in lootboxes than no unless it is last day of an event-skin I really want.
Though the paid limited skins, yeah sure because I do like the ones released so far.
I wait next year for skins i dont get in loot until they cost less so i dont think its a problem for me
Or skins are not for my taste, who knows.
You get the best value by avoid buying the vanilla Lootbox 1000 credit skins and the 3000 credit special event skins. Save your credits and only buy 1000 credit event skins (the ones that have been around for a year or longer). That way if you open a legendary in an event box, it’ll more likely be a 3000 credit legendary skin.

Whiel that’s true, technicially, it’s only extremely slight. Anniversary loot boxes have every. single. item. in them. Buying a non-skin reduced the factor but, maybe 1/80?

Well you have to start somewhere. I call my method strategic saving. It’s like playing the long game. You can’t exactly spend when you don’t have the credits available.
Do what you can now, without resorting to real money, and then save like you haven’t saved before. Wait for the summer games to come around and only focus on the 1000 credit event skins.

I’ve always just played the game buying the skins I liked for the heroes I liked. Never really cared much about filling out anything, that’s virtually impossible.
It’s not impossible, it just takes patience and a lot of playing. I’ve played OW actively for about 3 years. You earn a lot of credits over that time.

I kinda did with my Echo Golden weapons, I was lining up 76 for his but after about 3 hours on Echo I was just ‘this is awesome’. And they match nice with Moth skin.

Dude why else would I buy a ton of mice?
No, gaming mice silly
At this point I have tried well over 20+ mice, and am planning to buy about 8 to add to my collection permanently.
Oh we’re talking RL impulses now? Well there’s a reason I have 20 odd pairs of boots and shoes. And that my house is full of, as a friend put it, ‘goth tat’.
Well the COVID checks don’t help, not to mention for a lot of people they’re making more off unemployment than they ever did working.
I myself am in that boat, so impulsive spending is difficult right now.
No it isn’t, after playing the game for a while now, I have every white, blue, and purple item. I am only missing like 6 legendaries. It just takes time
no, for loot boxes? i will literally never spend money on loot boxes or individual skins for that matter, i only dont mind paying for actual content, like story etc…
Depends but i do buy on impulse like i bought the ana sniper skin and brig’s goat skin and if atlantic mercy was available, i would have bought it on the first day
They are talking about spending your in game credits
