I look at the new Feast animation and it just doesn’t feel right. With Roadhog, you can understand how it’s appropriate because he’s a fat S.O.B. with a liking for Chinese food. But with Junkrat… it just doesn’t fit. Not to mention it looks fairly low-effort.
He could’ve instead gotten some kind of fireworks-related Highlight Intro, but nope, we instead get him disgustingly trying to cram as much food in his mouth as possible.
And now that I ended up getting it in a loot box, I can’t choose Random for Highlight Intros because of the odds of getting this one.

What on it doesn’t “fit” Junkrat?
Maybe Hog and Junkrat are in the same room just stuffing themselves. Put the two intros together and it fits perfectly.
Also, skinny people can be disgusting too with their food.

Junkrat and Roadhog often tend to have “paired cosmetics” Winter event sprays where they Fist bumping each other (if you spray them right), Uprising spray Roadhog on a chopper, Junkrat in a sidecar (if you spray them right) Wanted Poster Spray, Mug shot Victory poses, So Junkrat getting a Feast also makes sense, and if you were feasting with Roadhog, as Junkrat did, you’d probably grab and cram as much food in your craw as you could, before Hog ate it all.

You know I’ve got a Wendy’s like two blocks from my apartment but I always hesitate to eat there. I’ve eaten there like three times in the past ten years, and it was okay each time. Just not something I’d go out of my way to consume. Don’t know why.
McD is absolute bottom-tier though. I have to be literally starving to death to even consider it. I don’t care how hungry I am, as long as I can reasonably assume I’ll eat anything else within the next 48 hours I won’t touch McD.
I have a 5 Guys and a BK about two miles from my house but I almost never eat there either. But in that case, they are located on the corner of a busy highway just behind a major blind spot on the road, so I’m always really anxious leaving their parking lots.
I think the whole point is that he is trying to match his friend Roadhog’s meal, but can’t manage. In the trailer for the event they even show Roadhog there in the background.
It’s a bit of an in-joke, yes, but I think it’s cool to have those.

Don’t know. I guess I just feel that McD just always strives to hover around the lowest possible standards for edibility.
That and maybe some unresolved trauma from when I was a kid. In New York, mid-90’s, big news story blowup over a dead rat cut in half and grilled on someone’s McD burger. Hideously nauseating and I haven’t stepped foot in a McD since.
