Any solution to open queue?

Or it will be forever 3 tanks 2 healers meta?

Its crazy how open queue is much more repetitive then role queue.

I know open queue is about freedom but they should do something about it or we will just have 3t2h for 10 seasons :D.

Maybe add a debuff that scales with how many tanks there are
You can still stack them, but they get a hp debuff or something

Maybe they should limit how many tanks and DPS you can have. That would fix the problem.

Oh that’s a really good idea! They should add a separate game mode that has some sort of “forced roles” like only having 1 tank, since they are so strong.

I don’t care if it’s not meta, im never going to play tank in OQ. I’ll just play a dps who can kill tanks :woman_shrugging:t2:

They won’t do anything about it, since they decided to add role queue, they’ve been been “balancing” the game towards that. IMO Role Queue is there just to tell players “look at what happens if we don’t have role queue” when in reality, it’s just because they made horrendous choices back then and were too stubborn to change it (like Giving Sigma a Shield and forcing him into an off tank role)

If we’re talking about role queue mistakes, then IMO introducing 2x2x2 was the problem to begin with. Should’ve continued to balance the game around OQ.

I agree. They had issue with the many shield meta, everyone knew how to correct that and that was by either taking Sigma’s shield away and giving him something else hence forcing him into an off tank role, OR letting him keep his ult, reducing his damage and forcing him into a main tank role.

Rein Orisa never worked because they just don’t do anything together, Sigma worked with both because he had insane damage, arguably the best (or at least one of the best) tank ult in the game, and extreme tankiness (with a shield and an absorption which also gives him more life)

Unfortunately it’s nothing new, they never address the real issue and instead they find ways around it, just like they did with Mercy back then, instead of reworking her and making her a must pick for basically 2 years, they could’ve started with a LOS change on her ult, a casting time etc.

And even then after reworking her everyone knew the issue was the Rez but what killed her at the time was that they just nerfed her healing because they already nerfed her rez as much as they could , broke several rules in the game, and it was still an issue.

Brig had the same issue, they kept the stun and nerfed everything else, when in reality Brig without a stun like in Ow2 feels extremely good.

I like the idea that the guy with the torbjorn icon said lol. As part of their role passive, they can make it that they are stronger the less tanks there are in their team. For instance in 1-2-2 roadhog will stay at 700 hp. In 2-1-2 road will have 550 and at 3–0-2 he’ll have 450-500 health. I think this’ll be more fair than just having tank health reduced across the board since that’ll make single tank feel bad.

wasting my time here cause replays will be gone in a few hours…but its just laughable at this point

my first 3 Mystery Heroes games today:

H2TH23 - just look at that first round…we spawn camped them for like all of it behind our 3 tanks

NDM5V6 - triple tank push almost from our spawn all the way to the end

CVKX94 - triple hog from start…with a dva to boot…start to finish payload never stopped moving…

It should be removed from competitive IMO. For quick play it makes some sense, since it makes it easier to play whatever hero you need to practice on and people won’t always go for the tryhard meta comp.

For competitive it would be better to reduce RQ queue times or add another experimental gamemode IMO (hero draft!!)

A return to pure open queue is never going to happen, the toxicity and entropy this fostered nearly killed the game (but memories are short…)
