So, I have a group I play with a couple nights a week. Nothing serious just quick play. I usually play a tank.
One member of the group instant rages if we don’t have a shield. Sometimes to the point he will stop trying. The idea you automatically lose if you don’t have a shield tank is absurd to me but no matter what else may be the problem he sticks to it’s because we don’t have a shield.
Anyone else play with friends who they like but are annoying when toxic?
It wastes time talking to those people, don’t spend your time around such negative people. You will find better
Absolutely not. I have one on my friends list who’s a friend of a friend, so he’s still there. But no. I’m always laughing my face off at silly stuff. I only play with people who are fun and supportive of the team. 
Doesn’t really sound like a friend when they’re not willing to let you play what you want and you’re not willing to not be selfish and just pick a tank with a shield for them
Besides toxic is such an useless term nowadays because it can mean anything so you might wanna be more specific. I play with players who want to play proper comps, trash talk and t-bag but I don’t consider them toxic. Does that count then?
No, I’m 31, once you reach my age you have no time or patience for people like that, I wouldn’t group with him.

I think it’s clear from my use of the word toxic and the description of his behavior what I mean in this context with the word toxic.
Yes, unfortunately. They’re nice people…in general…but they get really ragey at times, and it really ruins the game for me.
I have the bad habit of raging way too much When i play a game or be toxic in defence of friend who is toxic and make the toxic clown look like a clown just a sad one

Nope, I’d rather play on my own than with arrogant t ards. I regularly cull my friends list, anyone who doesn’t bother to message me, or is arrogant or a blamer in game is gone. Life’s too short to drag around this baggage with you. Strangely I find a lot of French people are like this.
my friends that are 33 and 34 up to 40 are pretty toxic still, they ragequit but i play counterstrike with them and other things, they don’t play overwatch though.
I do not want to judge people based solely on their country… But whenever the game throws me with French players… Like, it is not a good time. Not a fan. Lul.

I only joke with my friends about being toxic, but I tend to respong to toxic ones (not insulting, but bocking them if I see they are playing bad). Because of that now I mostly play without text chat.
Sad, some players are like that, most playerbase dosen’t matter the composition if they play it well, even I see videos of gm players winning with zarya/hog for example.
Annoys me that I can’t select AMS1, seem to get much nicer players there than CDG1. I hear you on the judging, but it is true unfortnately. There’s a certain arrogance in that area of the world, same with ME players.
I do have a half French / half British friend who lives in France, and he can’t stand having French people in his group either.
Give me Scandiavians, Dutch Area even German anytime over Mediteranian areas.

Me and my friends may have our moments, but none of us are outright toxic. Have played with some in the past though, they’ve since moved on for reasons unrelated (their behaviour wouldn’t have helped).
Wtf is his mindset 2bh…qp is no place for sheer fooling around for sure, but it’s not a place u go for optimality too.
Plus, how does he know that the tank players are not doing their best, they think shield tank is that easy to play?

I have a group of friends I play with in comp, 2 of them are just really good and usually place diamond/master rank. the rest of us are all low to mid plat. Whenever we lose a game , don’t focus a mercy rez when we’re trying to pull back or just not see somthing and die from it, they blow up, for good reason because they play with high ranks/by themselves alot. But sometimes they have to know that they have to have really low expectations when playing with us. And not get so distraught and not play for the rest of the night because of one loss after 8 wins.
swedish, what i wanted to point out is that even grown ups can be real immature.
for example one of my friends are so into tilting the enemy it’s a part of his routine when he plays, he gets so much pleasure from it.
he could go an entire night calling out his kills writing “Sup” everytime he kills someone.
worst part is he’s pretty good at games so he’s bound to tick people off.
he’s one of those people that will write EZ or any variation of it to try to tilt people into ragequitting.
