I mean we are a couple weeks out and I haven’t heard anything at all about comp. Would be nice to know if they are going to even try to fix the game.
you need to link a phone number to play so that alone will make it a LOT harder to smurf
No news whatsoever… Big shock.
If they actually take action against accounts. The last few months OW1 has been overrun with smurfs/cheaters/throwers at all levels and no one seems to be getting banned.

well you physically cant play it until you link phone number.
And that means absolutely nothing if they dont enforce or at least attempt to enforce rules. It isn’t illegal in the US to cheat at video games so who cares if their phone is required to play?
phone numbers also cost cents and that’s value compared to the $10 it takes to get a smurf account in ow1
Pretty much no chance they talk about it. You usually want to catch cheaters cheating so that you can ban them versus telling them you are looking for them.
So tired of this garbage… just got out of yet another match with 4 smurfs grouped together. What will happen? apparently absolutely nothing.
What are they going to do about it for OW2? less than nothing?
I would be shocked if the game wasnt going to ship with a huge update to the anticheat, but i wouldnt get my hopes up for anything particularly fancy.
Smurfs will likely be reigned in a bit more by the phone number requirement.
People for whatever reason are not reporting them either, Like people act like it doesn’t do anything and make the issue a lot worse than it needs to be.
