Except you can’t increase your HP or have damage reduction or boost healing received. or have life steal.
yeah well currently healing is applying anti-damage with every hit so this just levels the playing field and rewards the more skillful of the two.
I think it will be rather short and only a percentage reduction, like cauterize in Paladins. Its a good idea and also impactful for DPS… but heroes like 76 and Bastion will be much stronger, while heroes with a slow fire rate, will have almost nothing from the effect.
Very sure we dont have all the information, but I am willing to test this.

Anti-damage era passed, now you gotta be equal.
Nerfing anti does not achieve their goal of reducing burst healing.

You guys always say the strangest things about anti. They added more into the game because they can’t nerf it? How does that work?
Not can’t, won’t.
Ana’s got this little bubble around her, making her exempt from any and all nerfs, and if she should get nerfed, she must have at least 2 compensatory buffs to compensate the nerf.
Any other hero, and they’d have been hammered by now.
Everyone defending Ana said biotic grenade wouldn’t need nerfs if anti-healing was more ubiquitous. That her utterly insane pickrate would fall off if they just kept introducing characters dedicated to also applying anti healing. The devs apparently decided to completely restructure their game (something Ana defenders thought was too hard to do btw, since they said that it would be necessary to do roster-wide changes if Anti was nerfed, too) in order to avoid it. Willing to bet money it stays the same since her healing buff will counteract the DPS passive though.
And people complain about the new DPS passive and think nade is good for 5v5…
Did people really say that? If so, that’s also weird and bizarre; I’d argue Ana would need more nerfs to anti now that its ubiquitous. My argument was always that Anti is needed because the alternative is just letting characters infinitely get healed.
antiheal maybe too much, but reduced healing should work, it has to last very short tho, maybe 0.1 sec. It will be a great way to make non burst damage like soldier, sombra, dva, zarya more viable.
It’s just a weird solution in general tbh—even putting aside biotic grenade, I don’t understand how this passive flies. Reload speed benefits all heroes differently, sure, but applying a debuff is a whole other animal. This passive working exactly the same on Bastion as it does on Junk, Pharah, or Sym is just insane to me.
