Anti-Cheat doesn't work

I’m tired of cheaters in comp.
Why doesn’t the “New and amazing anti-cheat system that detects cheats and cancels the game so people don’t loose their CP and rank.” work?

Because it only detects outdated cheats that no one uses.

The team is hard at work.

If I recall correctly the system bans cheaters in waves, not individually.

Fun fact, after one of the ban waves people were talking about suing Blizzard for it

People have either forgotten or just don’t know about Blizzard and their ban in waves for hackers.

You mean Ban Wave, as in I remember only one.

They ban in waves with all of their games.

He is talking about the system that automatically suspends a match if cheats are detected.

I misread it as “Cheat doesn’t work”

What they introduced was a mechanism to detect existing cheats and cancel a match so that people dont unfairly gain or lose SR due to cheats they know about. It isn’t a new anti cheat system.

Anti cheat is not a magic silver bullet. Every time it’s updated, the hack developers find new ways to circumvent the system. Blizzard has to constantly update the system to detect new cheats, and they do so in waves after detection to make it more difficult for the hack developers to know what part got detected.

  1. It does work
  2. Naming and shaming is against the coc, remove the video now.
  3. They ban in waves, not individually

Well I mean there are more effective ways of making it work. Like hiring someone to search the internet for hacks every day and update the cheat database.

I’m sure they do this on a regular basis, but programming in the detection for them isn’t simple. Anti-cheat isn’t just like a list of files that they need to update with the latest hack files.

and it failed miserably, so it’s not going to work.
