Another Way To Make Your Sensitivity Faster on Console?

Recently, while playing, the game has felt really slow for me. When I try to turn to react to something (For example, going to another target.), even though I play on 100 Vertical 100 Horizontal w/ 0 Aim Smoothing, it just feels too slow. Even after trying out all of the other aiming techniques, it still feels too slow. I don’t know if it’s possible to make an option for it to go faster, but if it is, it would be really cool to see it get added. However, I’m getting a PC soon, so that might help. (if you’re curious, I’m a PS4 Genji main at 2850 SR. (peak 2946)

Do you use Dual Zone? I was on Exponential Ramp for a while and switched to DZ. I tried Exponential again today but the max speed seemed way slower than DZ. Maybe try it if you aren’t using it already

I’ve been using Dual-Zone since I got the game.

Try linear ramp then, maybe it’s for ya.

The fastest you can turn on console is:

100/100 horizontal and vertical
0 aim assist
0 aim smoothing
0 aim ease in
Dual Zone

If you have an Elite Controller and you’re playing on Xbox, you can use the Xbox Accessories app from the Xbox Store to change your stick sensitivity. There are 5 “Sensitivity Curve” settings that have customizable values. That stuff is similar to Overwatch’s aim techniques, except you can adjust the values there, unlike Overwatch. It’s an official Microsoft app you download on the Xbox from the Xbox Store. You can download the app even without an Elite Controller, but you won’t be able to see the “Sensitivity Curve” settings for each stick. Only the Elite Controller has the hardware and programming for that, the normal Xbox Controllers aren’t equipped for it. I don’t have a Playstation so I can’t really help with that.

I’m about 3500ish and my Genji sensitivity settings are:

100/100 horizontal and vertical
100/85 aim assist and aa window size
0 aim smoothing
70 aim ease in
Linear Ramp

Linear Ramp is what most console shooters use by default, for me it feels the most natural, but can’t turn as quickly as Dual Zone. Linear Ramp will let you make faster adjustments to your aim in a small circle around your crosshair, Dual Zone slows down that inner circle area surrounding the crosshair by a lot, but has a higher maximum sensitivity at max thumbstick deflect.

I also use Legacy Sticks, but you shouldn’t turn that on if you’ve used Default Thumbsticks since forever.

It’s not Lamborghini fast, but it’s plenty quick. I can dash through someone and turn quickly enough to fan shuriken before they can react.

I’ve spent a long time trying to correct for Overwatch’s strange and awkward hero movement and tiny hitboxes, but there’s no golden setup that will fix it. The game seems designed with mouse in mind, which is kind of lame.

Thanks. The settings that you have are actually better for me, so that’s a huge help. Although it may be a little slower than I hoped, it’s better.
