But why are they giving Tracer 25 more HP if this is what they are doing. That change doesnā€™t make sense in the context of the ones youā€™re talking about especially since sheā€™s getting passive regen

Because a Cassidy headshot does 105 damage with a 1.5x headshot.
And then another 70 with bodyshot.
So itā€™s 175 damage.

Tracer hasnā€™t been their balance point in years. Sheā€™s just another hero like everyone else. Otherwise GOATS would never have happened.

Not gonna lie, youā€™d expect people to be happy with all those changes you mentioned. Iā€™m not saying theyā€™re good changes but most of the things you mentioned have had complaints before

Still, it is kind of crazy that she has had 150 HP since OW1 launched and for the first time ever is getting an HP buff

Really shows this patch is expected to fundamentally change the game in a big way, as the Devs keep saying

I mean they said all the roles are getting it so I assume yes :person_shrugging:

But maybe they will classify DPS into different sub-roles and give them different passives based on them. I wouldnā€™t mind that tbh. Thereā€™s so many heroes it feels like the passives always disproportionately buff certain ones and donā€™t even effect others like Hanzo.

She is always the core and heart of the game, she is designed that way even if you donā€™t think about her she is there influencing everything.

Yeah lowkey this. Itā€™s crazy cuz like her getting damage bugs/nerfs/fixes/buffs by like .5 or more range has had big effects on the entire meta since OW2 launched lol

Itā€™s like all heroes are op designed itā€™s just people are more accepting of tracer being meta cause she scales the best among all op designed heroes

It is genuinely crazy how she scales.

Back in like season 8-9 during Mercy dive meta I remember I was always playing against really good players and sometimes pros because all the OWL teams were living on West Coast servers. I was really good at juking divers- or so I thought. I got into a game against Saebyolbe on Nepalā€¦I probably ended that game with like 20 deaths. It was insane. I was playing Mercy and getting hard farmed by him on Tracer. Still won somehow, donā€™t know how cuz I was playing respawn simulator all game.

But it was genuinely eye opening to me because he was so far and above any other DPS I had ever come across in my crazy high ranked games.

Itā€™s definitely scary. Canā€™t deny that. I really hope they donā€™t dumpster her. The rumor circulating is that the baseline for squishy health is getting bumped up from 200 to 250 HP, while Tracer is only getting +25 HP. No idea if itā€™s true though.

The patch was first leaked on Reddit like 6 months ago, albeit vaguely. Seemed far-fetched at first, but then Blizzardā€™s comments in interviews and streams started lining up with it, so I assumed it was real. Iā€™ve been mentally preparing for major changes for a long time, so maybe thatā€™s why Iā€™m not panicking. :laughing:
