There’s nothing to eat or block sleep or anti anymore. It’s literally just your team being purple for half the match, and your tank being asleep for the other half.
One has to go, you either get rid of anti. Or you get rid of that 5 second long stun that sets up free kills. You cannot have both if you’re going to go the route of one tank in the game. You can no longer have one tank go dva or sig to block those cooldowns. And ur one tank can’t go them either because they are just weaker than the other tank options.
Ana ALONE makes tank feel like garbage to play because ur just anti off cooldown, and then you just blow up because you cannot be healed.
Hell, orisa at this point is the only tank who can even play into an ana, because orisa can just fortify and be dmg resistance with no crit dmg while purple, so she can atleast survive being purple. Especially with the increase to fortify duration.
The other tanks don’t have that luxury.
And before “waaah moira’s better waaaaah” no… no she isn’t. Moira suffers the SAME exact issue as OW1 moira, when being compared to ana. No utility, and only survivability + healing. When Ana can just perma purple the enemy team with no counter to it, or set up free kills with sleep and just completely take the enemy team’s tank out the game.
Who knows, that’s for the dev team to come up with. Mobility ability? A shorter cooldown stun that doesn’t last a decade?
Who knows. All I know is, her kit does NOT work in 5v5 and it just breaks it. Playing tank feels like garbage playing against ana, which you don’t want that to be the case when there’s literally only one tank.
Ana is probably the most vulnerable heroes next to zen. She’s very divable and is really bad at dueling. If she missed her sleep she’s done. Not sure what to tell you.
Ana can also heal herself 100 hp with nade. She also has a 5 second long stun. She also can 3 tap squishies.
Idk where this forum idea comes from where ana is this super vulnerable hero cause she isn’t lmfao. She has everything she needs to be able to duel people.
She also has one of the jankiest hard to hit hitboxes in the game but that’s a whole seperate issue that isn’t even a balance one, just there inability to make hero hitboxes function.
The CD does not matter, because if you land it. IT’S INSTANT VALUE.
Cool a 15 second CD… but it puts the enemy team on a 30 - 40 second cooldown in general, bercause sleep usually leads to a kill. It lets ana’s team set up whatever tf they want on that slept target.

Also it’s OW2, the game is much more spaced out. None of those things listed even help. (Other than orisa fortify)
Yes, I’m wondering what made you make this nonsense thread when you literally listed all the things that can deal with and still decided the ability shouldn’t be the way it is.
Without Anti, certain tanks will just live forever. I have almost exclusively played Ana in the BETA and she seems to be the only support outside of Moira and Lucio who can hold her own.
Idk… I am support main and I have a hard time to play Ana in Ow2. There is always someone flanking, 80% of matches the oposite team has Doom, who is constantly in your backline, there are no shields and it´s just chaos…not to mention new maps, that are just mess…
People are even worse with neglecting their support and I find Moira much viable…yes, she has just survivability, but Ow2 just feels like this is a key element.
She can also get picks on other squishes, which in 5v5 makes her a great pick. As with her mobility and damage she is basically a flanker in the support role, and works great with dive tanks. Or ones that need peeling in between cooldowns like hog.
Brig and lucio fall into the same camp, were as ana/mercy/zen/ and bapt need a little something to actually extra to be viable.
Like mercy is OK, but isn’t pushing the game forward like three up top are.
The type of CC people seem fine with is simply knockback. Ping ponging isn’t a ton of fun or all that unique, but it could be an easy adjustment. I’d hate to lose mechanics in the game for making everyone homogenized to the same stuff.
Imagine Pharha’s concussion blast on bionade in a smaller radius and only heals. Now, losing anti-nade I think would kill Ana’s viability and identity, but its an idea.
Yea, but she’s not getting a heal boost on her own teammates in the process, so there’s an actual chance to outdps instead of Ana just outright getting all the benefits.
