We all know Ana will be voted as the banned hero every game, but is this just?

I personally don’t have trouble against Ana since I usually play Tracer or Juno but I’ll chime in to ban Ana to help my tank every time <3

Y’all having fun banning Ana, I am just going to ban pharah everygame. At the very least I can interact with the enemy Ana with projectile heroes

Idk if it’ll be just. Ana never bothered me, as I have in built Ana protection. But all I know is that it’ll be true justice from above when I see Soj, Widow, Zarya and Doom in perpetual ban hell. Ban Sombra too.

My vote is Doomfist. I want every Doom main to quit this game by the middle of season 16.
Genji is a close 2nd unless Blizzard rightfully nerfs him to 225 HP.

I doubt she’ll ever be banned in high-rank games. We’ll ban Doom, Ashe/Soj, Juno, Brig, and Lucio.
That’s totally true, but Ana will actually be the only perma ban if we are being honest. She screws over way too many popular heroes, enables heroes that people otherwise believe are fine, and, well, people won’t admit it, but this game is pretty well balanced to begin with. Nothing else stands out as a must ban. People will be fighting over their personal demons and will not have the support of the entire community as they believe they will. Ana is retiring, though. If you play her, it’s time to seriously consider playing a new mode.

She won’t, she’s only a priority target for a handful of tanks. The rest of them both don’t care and want her on their team. Dps won’t ban her, Genji players especially and supports obviously won’t.

OW2 is based on countering the tank, and Ana is able to counter all tanks. But that’s not an Ana problem — it’s a solo tank problem. If Ana were treated the same way Sombra was, things would look different, but of course, you can’t destroy the most popular hero!

Maybe, but I think that the hatred varies from role to role. As a support main, Ana wouldn’t be at the top of my list (I like having an Ana as my co-support). I agree she will be top of the list for tank mains (though I suspect Zarya will be vying for that spot for everyone other than Zarya mains) and flankers, but I’m not sure about others.
(Plus, I think there will be a ton of variation from rank to rank. These ban threads are mostly the usual projection of the community. “I hate this character, therefore everyone else hates this character other than their mains.”)

You get three. Does the average player truly have three bans that they are super invested in? Hypothetically, I would only want Sombra gone. If a tank asked me to ban Ana, I could easily put her at second or third priority and the rest of the team probably would as well unless they have a highlight system. Albeit, I am never going to ban Ana because my Sistah Spice plays her and neither will she. So… Maybe you are right? It just depends on the lobby.

Banning ana wont make me a less effective support. It just means ill be healing my team a whole lot more and doing more damage to them. They might think its a good ban but its really not. If im playing tank ill take the reduced healing, zero mobility ana over a cleansing healbot kiriko or annoying turret heal illari. Is the player skill bar so low that cleansing, speed boosting, barrier, finding a corner for 2 second is that hard that they cant beat nade? Id rather ban healbot supports if i were to even ban a support.
Moira would be my pick 1000% of the time cause she can kill with zero aim, do top heals and dmg and kills and has mobility better than genji and reaper. Moira has been too strong for too long. How they see one hero is top dmg and heals 90% of the games with none of the skill required and think its fine is beyond me.

Exhibit A on how this will vary from rank to rank. Low skill lobbies will focus on Moira over Ana because they aren’t good enough to hit the low damage support before dying/need to protect their egos about “MY SKILZZ!!!”.

Is voting cumulative? Can you stack all three votes on one character or do you need to pick three different characters?
I wouldn’t even be mad. Usually I defend Moira, but dueling her as Genji is more trouble than it’s worth. I am not going to bother banning her because I “secretly” want my teammates to play Moira. But if she gone anyways, we only shedding tattoo tears, cuh.

I can unfortunately see it considering so many players hate swag and high skill characters but ana players won’t be too effected, all of us can actually play other supports and can easily flex onto one of kiki, Juno, bap, zen, etc. Sure take away our most effective tool but toolbox runs deep. Ban mercy though and they instantly lose their only mediocre tool and will just int on Moira 
my stack will be hard banning mercy every game for freelo as all the carried spectators plummet when forced to interact with the game meanwhile we are mildly inconvinced having to switch to a solid secondary or tertiary
