Playing as Ana under certain conditions nothing happens when you press Q to initiate her Ultimate. You will hear the noise and you will lose the ULT as being used but the effect does not apply to your target. So if I try to Nano the Friendly Rein on our team by pressing Q I will lose my ULT charge and I will hear the sound and see the animation that the Nano was used but Rein is NOT nano’d. Nothing happens!
Do the following in a team fight but perform the steps in order rapidly in Quick succession while Ana is taking damage from Moira but not killed (Ana may be down to very low health while Moira is right clicking and draining Ana’s health but Ana is very much still alive when the Q is pressed and the ULT is used.)
Perform the below in rapid succession as Ana is taking slow damage from enemy Moira.
- Throw a Grenade at Friendly Rein to heal him
- Shoot Rein un-zoomed to Heal him a couple of times
- Throw a Sleep Dart which misses the enemy and hits friendly Rein by accident
- Press Q to Nano Rein
You will lose the ULT charge, you will hear the Nano noise and see Ana perform the Nano ULT animation but the Friendly Rein does not receive the Nano. Nothing happens.
I have had this happen to me several times yesterday and during this past week playing as Ana.
