I play a lot of Ana, now in the new push maps I really struggle with her during some matches and I find it hard to get some value, maybe also because I’m new to those maps but… I would like to know what other Ana players think of those maps.
These are the issues for me:
- low mobility in these maps is straight BAD. If you die, you are respawned miles away and doing absolutely nothing while reaching your teammates. In the worst scenarios you will even meet a flanker on the way. The best you can hope for is that a Lucio is respawning with you. If you die, you’re punished really too hard as Ana.
- maps full of curves with very short range visibility. It’s hard to be a long distance sniper except in short moments during fights. I find myself often playing inside the team and pretty close to the enemy. Yes you can find a rather safe spot, but the enemy is really close and will easily punish you.
- maps that allow for extreme flanking, like New Queen Street. Flankers will easily come from behind because there are so many alternative ways to get the the robot. You’re following your team and you will have a flanker behind you most of the time. Not only flankers but possibly half of the enemy team behind and the other half in front…
I’m trying to get the most of her in those maps, but I feel it’s pretty hard as Ana in those maps and you much more easily get away with just another healer (Moira, Lucio, Kiriko) who just seem to be made for those maps.

ana is one of the best support, i dont have any complaints anywhere.
Zen is slow af too and so vulnerable to spawn flankers

I agree to all with most of that. Zen, Ana do not feel built out for 5v5 in general. Especially with Kiriko in the game, Ana feels too off color and too easily shut down. I hope they check supports as they said in latest post and make them feel more impactful, but that seems a little too far in the distance.

There are definitely sections of the Push maps where she feels really useless. The path under the bridge and up the winding road on Colosseo is pretty awkward for me. There’ s no obvious place for you to be, and there’s no obvious place for your team to set up either. I find myself either lagging behind (and losing LOS) or sticking with them and getting sucked into the 10 man mosh pit.
It’s hard to make a map where Lucio or Mercy would be worse than usual, but the lack of mobility for Ana (and Zen) can be really rough sometimes.

I don’t know about Dia-GM ranks but im doing Ana-Orisa duos on Push maps and it seems to be OP there. Someone else feels the same?
You need to have good positioning with Ana on Push maps.
If they are countering you and dying a lot, switch to Moira/Lucio.
Zen is one who struggles in push with ever changing battlefield. With lot of flanks. He gets destroyed easy peasy.
Maybe his kick should do a brief stun so you can headshot people after the kick almost like old Cassidy flashbang headshot
I think the potential hike back to the action is a general problem on Push. I generally hard lock Lucio on Push for no other reason than to deal with travel time.
I’m not sure I agree about the sightlines, though. On NQS the side lane with the statue allows for pretty good long range vision, Col has that middle stretch with the corridor, Esp also has some long streets.
That’s exactly one of the examples I want to make. That exact spot is where there are some of the hardest fight for Ana, I also feel like there is no place for me to be except in the middle of the chaos, hoping I will be protected somehow… and you can’t really find a pretty safe spot with good visibility to heal your team. And above the bridge often is not a safe place either of the enemy is spawning from that side.
