Are we happy with the changes?

I played her on PTR before these changes and I expressed my opinion there - but just like all the previous versions of PTR feedback, it went on deaf ears of the devs.

The ammo increase is a welcomed change. But the shoot through full health allies doesn’t feel like it’s the change she needs. If you’re being body blocked by a teammate usually meant you just needed better positioning. This change just encourages Ana to mindlessly shoot at heroes all cuddled up together so the ally with low health will just get topped up - encouraging more deathball comps.

I get that low self sustain and low mobility are Ana’s weakness. But this change isn’t the right one for her. I was hoping for a projectile speed increase. Or higher damage/healing per scoped shots.

What are your thoughts?

The first game I tried her had a Genji, a Tracer, and a Winston on the enemy team.

Wow, the changes did sooo much for me. Not like I still constantly died because I wanted to use my nade on the enemy rather than myself, or that sleeping people felt like a waste of time because everyone woke them up immediately.

Thanks for the slightly larger magazine, a pity it won’t make much of a difference for Ana players when everything else about her makes her unviable.

Please excuse my bitterness, the Comp Death Match really has tilted me to the point of a headache…

I like the full health ally change. Moira could already do this. So Ana has some competition in that aspect. You can have good positioning but if your teammates are in a death ball like you said then it could be hard to shoot around them correctly. Ana needs a reason to be played mostly. She has less healing than Moira, and worse utility than Mercy. I really don’t see a problem with her being a bit less mindful. She is already a pretty high APM hero. I do think she needs more. These were a QoL update. Health from scoped shots and nade go through full teammates would be good. Or make nade 5 seconds again. I think there are plenty of Ana mains. Just Ana isn’t good so they play Zen.

I’ve played her all day long and at first it was a nightmare, now I’m getting double and triple kills by accident, a team with an Ana has quite a ton of extra damage, dueling while Ana is present is hell for the enemy team

she is still very vulnerable though but my old practice with sleep dart makes me particularly deadly

Ana now excels on healing clumped targets because you don’t really need to micro aim through a bunch of people but as you heal forward your bullets reaches pretty much everyone, specially if you throw nade onto them before hand

Her healing/damage output has increased considerably thanks to this change but you need to adapt quite a bit to make it effective, she is not the same as before and if you resist change you’ll have a very bad time

I used to flex into Ana, but not anymore.
Honestly, they should have just buffed her gun ammo and called it a day. You can’t pre heal teammates to negate incoming damage on full health teammates. That’a not a buff, that’s a nerf imo.

Haven’t played in a week. How bad is it?

Situational I would say - sometimes it’s good as it doesn’t stop you from healing the intended target, but like suspected you can’t really pre-heal the same way anymore. So a mixed bag I would say.

Still not used to the increased mag, I keep reloading when I’ve made around 9 shots.

I haven’t played with the changes yet but I think they will be a positive one. These comments that, if you are hitting allies in accident is due to bad positioning is just absolutely ridiculous too. If it were possible for Ana to be in an absolute perfect position at all times where she is able to have clear line of sight on each individual teammate, as well as most of the enemy, with none of them ever crossing your line of sight, I don’t think we’d be complaining about Ana at all. The whole notion that this is even a thing is just mind blowing. There is no such thing as absolute perfect positioning and people need to stop saying crazy stuff!

I was not a huge fan of the change at first. But, I think there is a hidden buff in the change. Ana can now spam shots down a choke. If her team is already full, the enemies take damage - building ultimates charge.

After a few games, I would have to say I support the change. It feels different, but I think it makes her a better support. It makes it easier to even help your teammates finish kills, because after Ana gets teammates to full her bullets have a chance to pierce through and hit enemies.

I think the community should explore the change a bit more before rejecting it.

The intent of your positioning is what changes, you can focus on surviving more than finding LoS of your target and that is golden

There’s also the fact that for some reason her primary seems far more… reliable? since you don’t need to micro aim anymore all the time you can just shoot with your primary and hit people even if they move erratically since your bullet will find someone in the distance eventually, sometimes even enemies and that I love

Always had issues with teammates deciding to push through a tunnel and trying to poke from behind Reins butt. I’m still getting used to it but I definitely like it. It’s a clear buff for Anas that prefer poking to farm nano ASAP over prehealing and topping people off. Would pair well with a Lucio to pick up the slack.

I’m still concerned about nade and dart uptime, but I’ll take any chance I get to play Ana.

I like it. I can heal allies grouped easier without worrying about hitting the wrong target. Plus, more ammo.

I thought this would be a good change for this reason. Now Ana can heal death ball comps like Moira but at a range Brig can’t touch her.

I cant say i like this change. I had a problem with shooting full health allies before but now i can adjust and improve my positioning. I’d rather prefer biotic grenade that goes through full health teammates.
